This was my experience, reserved a year ago, give dealership deposit to hold the reservation. Then dealer gets an allocation (each dealership gets certain amounts of allocations) you can choose to take the allocation once the dealership gets one or it goes to the next person on the list of reservations, unless the dealership has a empty allocation or a demo model you can't buy a car.So the process, even now that the car is actually available, is to hold a reservation? The salesperson seemed to suggest that I would be placing an order, so that’s probably my misunderstanding. Thank you!
