Good catch but none for sale at OPCs in UK - all J1.2s for 2024 have PB+

Here's hoping the OPCs were savvy enough by then (5 years of knowledge) to advise all customers to take the PB+ when opting for anything below a 4S.
I couldn’t quickly find a way to search them out on the Porsche site, but Autotrader currently has around 8, including this 75 reg one with what seems to be list price. My memory is that the plus battery was standard from late 24/25. At the same time other useful improvements to the standard spec occurred.
Especially given the approaching end of year, I expect there’s some strong discounts to be had on remaining dealer stock, which must have been built at least a year ago.

j1.2 4s ST.
Typically get between 200 and 300 miles.
But I rarely do long journeys needing 100% battery, so I usually charge to 75%.
In decent weather and a long trip with 1/3 on A roads and 2/3 motorway at 75 mph, with 100% charge it will will be close to 300.

Heavy foot, short journey in winter will be under 1.5.
Gentle driving will get in the low 3s.
Average is mid to high 2s.

This is the search I did for 2024 only (this one doesn't show as it is 03/25 reg):

Porsche Taycan Taycan 4s Gen2 - range 1764080870080-uq

This particular car most be really old stock and wasn't registered until 03/25 (!!) and explains why I couldn't find it.

I think these are all early samples of the facelift (perhaps demos at one point) which clearly didn't have PB+. I think you're right that it was a later change in 2024 (Sept ?) where this became standard.

Either way what a depressing search that was to see so many "cheap" Taycans are out there - not good at all.

Thanks for finding / correcting.

Hi all

it has probably been discussed many times before but I have had the car now two months and I seem to get no where near the range they claim to achieve.

the best I am seeing is 220 miles. I feel like it doesn’t have the battery that is claimed to have. Is there any way to check?

thanks
I have a 4S Gen 2 delivered end of Dec 2024. It took several months for the range numbers showing on the display to come close to the "as advertised" . I have only about 1500 miles on the car but at 85% charge (which I usually set unless planning a longer trip) it shows just under 300 miles which would mean about 350 at 100%. I've been warned the car never gets the displayed mileage but is often close.

I should have noted I have the larger battery (an option on my MY 2025) and 19" wheels (I live in DC where the streets ate several alloy wheels over the years) with all season tires.
