We do, but it's gradually phased out from 2026. And honestly the reason the incentives work is the same as Norway - that the normal tax rate on cars are very high. ICE cars have a tax of 150% added when registred here. EV's have 0 until you reach a certain value threshold (which is placed a bit higher than the price of a Model Y or similar). As soon as the taxes on EV's are really phased in they will be super expensive and sales will drop - Unless something new happens to the tax schemes.

Simple fact is, while the auto industry is suffering in the west, in china it's growing. And it's growing very fast, and lot, spear headed by EVs, chinese EVs... not Macan EV.

The Chinese internal market is dead, so they focus all their energy export. But after tarifs these EVs are not cheap in developed lucrative markets and in many ways cannot compete with none Chinese software...

Electricty prices in eu/uk are at an all time high. I don't think they can go higher...

As a comparison we had negative energy prices in Sweden over the week end. Got paid to charge the car at home. Network costs and distribution charges still occurred though so it never was a total minus cost

I also use Tibber to charge when the electricity is particlarly cheap on sunny weekends during the day.

This is just complete BS. I have a Taycan since 2020 with 37k kms and the longest it has been in the shop at any one time is 2 days.

Lucky! Mine had a battery module failure and was in the shop for over 2 months.

Last month the charging module failed, could fast charge, but not at home with AC charger. Another week in the shop. Lucky we pushed for a 1 year warrenty extension, after the battery module fix.

I think you're thinking about the Taycan GTA (Grand Touring Amphibious). Still in prototype stages.

Little or no incentive in UK and none on the premium end of the EV market. EV Road tax also coming next year which is another negative.

Without getting into politics (a dead end) it will be intersting to see what Labour do, with Ed Milliband as Energy Secretary - who is very pro green.

The onshore wind positive / oil gas licenses negative within days shows some promise.

The Tories has been busy unwinding everything 'green' that Boris had started - as they thought it would be a vote winner after that ulez by-election.
