Ok..this is more a rant than anything else but i have had my taycan CT for a good year and a half now and there is one thing i noticed from the start, and thats howmuch water the car holds on rainy days..

we have alot of rain these months in winter and every time i’m amazed after parking in my garage howmuch water it dispenses on my floor.. so much that i’ve actually been concidering parking outside and wait topark it after it stops raining.

granted i should probably install a drainage in my garage but still, i’ve had many other cars with big surfaces like an rs6 avant, range rover… wich i parked in the same garage without any problems. The taycan released and 8 fold of water than any other car i owned.

i imagine i’m not the only one that noticed this? Anyone knows the reason?

for the rest i love my taycan ;)

I’ve noticed my Taycan pees on the floor while parked. But that’s independent of rain.

I’ve never noticed any excess water related to rain.

Where is it coming from?
Do you have a ceramic coating?

Yes I have noticed the same thing. I don't park my car indoor anymore when it rains... Go figure. But it's been raining quite a lot in Belgium..... damn weather.

But yes, If I parked it inside when it's wet, the next morning I'm good for cleaning my garage.

Same here. No drainage in the garage either. I take out the water sometimes before parking in the evening when it is too much . Kind of a fault of our architect not thinking about a drainage.

When it snows a lot our garage is almost flooding when parking two cars inside.

6 water drain plugs underneath. Often, these gets clogged causing water issues in the cabin.

I recommend Racedeck free-flow tiles as the water sits below and eventually evaporates, while you always walk on a dry floor. I have it at home.

I can’t see the rest of that “now hiring” sign; is it for water evaporators?

The rear spoiler’s mechanism also holds a lot of water. Though, it doesn’t run (or it does slowly?) from there unless you drive or open the boot

Always keep mine garaged, often put it away wet, but have never noticed water on floor (painted concrete) or any dampness. Possibly helps that the gap at the bottom of the doors is large enough for some small leaves to get blown in.

Just got a Taycan a couple days ago, mainly been driving in the rain so far and noticed abnormal amounts of water under the car on my garage-floor. I'm talking like 2 buckets full of water. Thanks to this thread I looked at the drains as mentioned in the video/pdf, I only seem to have the 2 in the middle instead of 6 in total, and both were totally clogged!

People who dont keep their car in a garage may never be aware of this.
Its a 5 minute job, no special tools required.

I've now cleaned them and took the membrane out for now, giving it time to rinse out the rest of the dirt over the next couple days/weeks. Then I'll probably put the membranes back in as the water did get out fine/fast once the dirt was removed (dirt obviously doesn't go through the membrane)

I’m sure you have 6. Front, middle, and rear of the battery. The front and rear pairs are have a different don’t protrude on the same way so they’re easy to miss. All the plugs are identical.

Also, I think there are some redesigned plugs. But I can’t find the part #.
