Different people estimate differently, between 1% and 5% hit (Turbo for example has 5% more advertised range than Turbo S, which has powered charge port non-optional).

If that’s how people are calculating the range difference, they’re doing it wrong.

Turbo specs with 20” wheels standard (optional 21”) and Turbo S only comes with 21” — which could explain nearly all of the 5% loss of range.

That is only one way people estimate. There is a video in one of the threads showing the turbulent air around the blocked vent. but the same outfit never got to test a Taycan with a functional vent, so hard to say how much that vent could help make the air flow more laminar, flowing around the car.

Not limited to Taycan, was same for my Model S, which is why we kept the 19” Aero over the optional 21”. You can test it on Tesla.com with changing the wheels — I think it’s over 10% range going from 19” to 21”.

Scroll down to the range estimator. When you select Taycan Turbo, it estimates range at 224 miles with the default 20”. When you select 21” (either set), the range drops to 212 miles, a loss of a little over 5% range.
