After my return trip from PA, I noticed a tire bubble and sidewall tear on the right front tire. No blowout occurred, and there was no loss of air pressure.

The bubble and sidewall tear look fresh. I do remember traveling over steel plates and on unpaved roads, then moving back onto paved, lane-marked sections. It probably occurred then. When changing lanes, I always signal, check, and then move over gradually instead of abruptly.

The Goodyear Eagle Touring tires for the Taycan 4S are no longer in stock at the tire locations near me and have been discontinued.

All 4 tires will need to be replaced with:

• Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires
  • Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 +
    • Front: Size: 265/35ZR21 XL
    • Rear: Size: 305/30ZR21 XL

Yes indeed, 26K miles may be high when comparing to other Taycan owners.

In the end, I arrived home safe not knowing that tire was structurally impacted. 280 miles round trip journey.

It looks like the bubble and split are at the same place as a rim scuff - so maybe it happened at the same time

That's amazing tire life! And the edges of your tread still look deep - maybe high inflation with center wear? You'll enjoy a new pair of shoes when you get them.

And glad you made it home - I was told my my tire and alignment specialist and dealer (yes, I've lived the through this too) that a sidewall bubble is super dangerous as it can lead to a blowout just when you're loading up the sidewall on a curve.

I keep the tire pressure up to the load-recommended PSI for the car: Front: 41 PSI, Rear: 44 PSI (2 passengers). There is some wear in the center, but not significant compared to the sides.

Route 83 is between Hershey, PA, and Baltimore, MD, and is a two-lane highway with numerous curves and fast-moving. PA drivers drive at high speeds (75 or 80+) on this road. Keeping up is no problem for Taycan, but not for long durations; else .

Did you consider purchasing a used tire of roughly equivalent tread depth? Here's what I posted in another thread:

Here's a somewhat controversial solution: try a used tire vendor like United Tire. They do sell new tires, but their differentiator is being able to replace a single damaged tire with one that matches the tread depth of your remaining tires. You can also get great deals on barely used tires.​

No. I found that Tirerack has a front set, but considering its age and discontinued tire status. I decided not to have it installed at home. The tread depth on all four tires was 4 mm. It still had some life left, but considering winter driving in the next four to five months, I’d probably be down to 3 mm. Fine for light snow, but not for deep snow.

I need to have the Taycan ready for the next trip. NTB near me was able to get the Conti's in one day, and they are now installed. The Conti's are rated higher than the Goodyears in all categories (check Tirerack).
