Having a weird issue (glitch?) and wondering if anyone else has encountered this or - better yet - has any suggestions for how to fix. I have a new MY24 GTS with a few hundred miles on it. Car is amazing, but of course has some weird gremlins that I assume are software related. One of them is particularly aggravating: nearly every time I start the car, I get a tire pressure warning indicating that one or both of the right tires have -5 or -6 low tire pressure. Once I start driving and can access the PCM tire pressure monitor (above 15 mph) I can check the tire pressures using the PCM and they are all normal, yet the warning light stays on. There is an easy fix: I select “full load” on the tire pressure monitor in the PCM, which sets off red alarm bells for underinflated tires, then de-select “full load”, and all of the error messages go away. So, this problem is solvable but annoying and I’m quickly tiring of the PCM tire pressure reset every time I get in the car. Would welcome feedback and suggestions on how to tackle this. Obviously if I need to take it to the dealer for inspection and service I will, but am hoping maybe there’s an easier solution. Also, just FYI, I did the two-finger PCM reboot and it didn’t fix the problem…Thanks in advance!

Is this something new or since you got the car? And have you verified that you selected the proper wheel and tire combination in the PCM settings?

I run my 4S at partial load pressures and don't ever get the message you're seeing so definitely something isn't working properly for you.

Thanks for the response. Classic “no probs when I drove off the lot” scenario. No issues for the first week, then just popped up. I’m driving with partial load selected, but haven’t double-checked specific tire and rim combos in the PCM - thanks for that suggestion will look into that out today.

I was going to suggest switching the tire/rim sizes to kick it to reappraise the pressures. You could do that if you find the rim size is currently correct. Just requires changing to anything and then back to the right one.

Great suggestions, thank you! I’ll check this out today and report back.
This is what the manual says to kick off the learning, which is what @gramorris said.
If this does not resolve the issue then this would mean to me that there is some issue with the TPMS system and/or TPMS sensors and the dealer most likely can read the fault codes to resolve.

This works in every Porsche we own.

Well, I thought (hoped) I was in the clear, but tonight turning the car off, I got this message on the dash before the PCM went to sleep. So, back to the drawing board. Any other suggestions?

This is very odd. I wonder if you tried measuring the tires using a manual tire pressure gauge to compare to what the car is measuring. Also, have you had any work done on your wheels or tires that would damage TPMS sensors.

Great suggestion, I’ll try manually measuring. No work done (at least not on my watch) to the tires. The weird thing is that the PCM shows a -5 pressure differential, but when I pull up the pressures on all four tires through the PCM or the left circle on the digital dashboard, none of the tires show a pressure deficit. Yet the error message persists. Then I do the full-load select/de-select move and the error messages clear. Super strange…makes me think there is a software glitch, and this is not a hardware (TPMS sensor) issue. It’s a minor annoyance at the end of the day, but still something I should not need to deal with.

my 2020 4S has started doing the EXACT same thing in the past 2 weeks or so. Its bloody annoying. I've checked the tyres and everything is OK, but the message still comes up everytime I start the car.

No doubt it'll be something very simple. No doubt it'll cost us a small f**king fortune to fix.

Check the plate at the bottom of the b-pillar when the driver's door is open. This plate will give you the correct tyre preasures for the original wheels and tyres fitted when the care left the factory. Inflate / deflate as necessary.

PCM settings should match your tyre / rim settings.

If all checks out then it could be a TPMS issue with one or more of the valves.

I've got the same as this, the tyres are the originals and are at the correct pressure, but i get a differential warning on the offside rear. Was there a solution? Thanks

Same here, it started doing this a few week ago. However, I had the same thing with my previous cars (Mercedes and Audi), and it seems like every change of season, I get these "tire pressure" notification lights, despite no flat tire or true deflated tire. My theory is that it is simply the weather condition changing (becoming colder or warmer), which affects the tire pressure or sensors somehow. I then change my seasonal tires and it fixes the issue until next tire change season. I just brush it off and live with it.
