Tracking Progress of New Order

GTS ST ordered in Jan 23. Estimate was Sept delivery, then pushed back to November, poss due to heater issues. Couple of weeks ago my dealer hombre contacted to say brought forward to end July/Aug. Locked in options 16 May.

Ive read some threads describing how to monitor the assembly and progress through the production line. Is this really possible? How is it done, VIN, configurator number, etc ?

Unfortunately, Porsche Iberia S.A. will give you nothing. As much as we like our cars, for Porsche, the Iberian Market (Portugal + Spain) just represents 1.7% of their global sales. They don't care enough to give extra services (like tracking your order) which just costs them money.

Your best bet is to phone or email your "hombre" at the Dealership and ask "Send me a screenshot of your Tracking sheet for my order code". Do that once a month and maybe every two weeks when the dates start approaching.

He might not want to send it but explain to him that you know perfectly that the listed dates are estimates and that they can change wildly during the process but that it's ok and you won't be mad about it. The important codes to retain from that screenshots are V250, V260, V300, etc. Those are milestones as to if the build is locked (it might unlock later on though) and V300 when production is completed.

PS: I'm specially annoyed that I didn't get any production photos. Their system is surely taking pictures of EVERY car and not just "Americans and Uk" ones. They just don't care enough to make them available for us.

The data was saying Produced and had a VIN 2 weeks before I got the pictures, the EXIF data in the pictures had a date that roughly matched the date I got the VIN so there was quite a lag.

This won't work for him.

Trust me, I tried in every possible way. Unless Porsche Iberia starts having TYD or the other more limited option, he will totally have to rely on his hombre and tracking screenshots

Honestly, it doesn't work well in the US either. The dates are often wildly off...
