Condition:
Customer complains of PCM display stuck on loading spinner while Bluetooth and radio are still functional by
steering wheel buttons. (This ATI applies to the concern shown in Figure 1 but NOT Figures 2 & 3).

Technical Background:
There is a conflict in software between the PCM and display causing the display to be stuck in a loop. The fault
currently occurs after VR19.0.1-update has been performed, affecting PCMs at software versions 3793 & 3823.
There are no fault codes associated with the display issue. Refer to the images below for the correct condition that applies to the concern.

My wife's CT was updated with the 3882, the spinning dark screen is still happening under this version. Porsche still has an issue.

Does it remedy itself after the 2 finger reboot...? (only to happen again sporadically days later)
Mine did this all the time but the latest software patch (3 months ago) seems to have fixed it.

My 2022 CT4S has done that since I bought it used last May. It also has started to fail to recognize my USB C music drive in the center console (both ports). The USB problem clears when I unplug it and plug it back in. The PCM circle always requires a two finger reboot. This happens every third or fouth time I get in the car. I'm scheduled for a service appointment for update WPN9 which I hope will fix the issue. Otherwise I love my car, better as a daily than my previous 5 911s.

I went in to the dealer for exactly this issue plus thermal management reprogramming https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/tsb-wps9-–-re-programming-thermal-management-control-unit-feb-8-2024.19253/unread

and they did apply the 3882 PCM upgrade because it was at the problematic version before.
it is too soon to tell if the spinning wheel of PCM that happened at least once every two weeks is fixed.

btw, i've noticed that the spinning wheel was the proverbial final-straw and made the PCM useless until rebooted, but things like not seeing the volume change indicator or having music sources icons in different order than the one i chose, would precipitate it.
