would love to see Porsche response if they tried to renege a warranty claim if service carried out by a official Porsche garage on the continent, what could they say. Not qualified for RHD vehicles

Also how could they possible refuse to replace a non-serviced part if faulty ?

I did import a few Porsches from Germany in the late 90’s. That was when the car prices in U.K. were extremely high compared to the continent.

There was never any question from the U.K. Porsche dealers to service or repair the car under warranty. And this also applied to BMW. The only difference was that the German warranty terms were for 2 years and the U.K. I think we’re 3 years.

Would be very surprised if this is a Porsche GMbH thing. I think this is a U.K. try.

Porsche UK servicing costs are spiraling on all cars .. My Cayenne Hybrid heads in for its first service (2 years old) .. this is the "interim service" .. And the cost is a grand .. I dread to think what they are calling for on the 4 year service (the "full service")

We have moved our Boxster GTS to Specialists and saved a fortune (its 6 years old now so I have no warranty issues)

A Member on the Uk taycan Facebook group, just reported a 20k mile service costs of £290 all in. He had it done at Colchester OPC. This compares well with Continental OPC pricing.

Someone else in the group was quoted £650 from a London OPC - but at least even that is less than Porsche GB contact pricing at £2300+ for 2 services.

Looks like common sense is (slowly) prevailing.

Looks like I’ll be visiting Colchester next year, staying at a Hilton hotel for the evening - with a nice meal for two - and still have lots of change. . . .

Ha - I had the same idea for Knokke in Belgium in a couple of years - nice place and would be a free weekend.

I think just quoting what others on the forum are paying at UK OPCs - (but not mentioning any OPC or it could cause trouble) - should help to reduce local prices.

I don't have one to service but when I asked about ownership costs at Preston I was also told £650 with the first due after 2 years ownership/20k miles.

If you scroll through a number of posts you can find the official service centre in Paderborn have a price list on their home page.

2 year service price is 300 Euros and a 4 year service is 380 Euros, plus perhaps a brake fluid change for 185 Euros. Difficult see from their prices if that is included in the stated service costs

That is still a lot cheaper than the original 2 service contract cost of around 2.6K from Porsche financial services - I knew that would reduce to a more sensible level.

You can get a service for around £350 in Ireland or Belgium - so a servicing weekend break over there made sense when the UK was quoting over £1,300 per service -

but now it's at a more sensible (but still too high) cost, the margin does not warrant a foreign trip - unless you need a break anyways.

I can just better that - £782.76 incl VAT, to include Dust & Pollen filters, Window cleaner (?) and a litre of brake fluid.

I told them it was cheaper in Europe, and if UK OPCs don't bring the price down, we'll be making a trip to Stuttgart to get it done and see the museum at the same time.
