As I understand it, the optimum for storage is different than optimum for regularl vs. high power draw or slow vs fast charging. Which optimum is 30C and is this from Porsche or some other source?

my BMS reports 94.1% state of health at 18000km and I drive a lot with range mode but nearly never with battery above 35°C. So I could assume that battery wear would be less with driving normal and sport mode in the mostly cold months?

Where does the 91.4% health come from? Does the car report it via PCM or Porsche phone app, or is it from OBD scan data? Also, what does that percentage mean? Does it mean your car today full chargers to 91.4% of what it did when it was new? Was it 100% when new? I know, lots of questions, but it would be nice to understand the number better.

Thanks. I assume the one in the graphs one is for driving/charging (so power draw or charging) and there is some ideal storage temp as somewhere. I was curious if you had another source which would corroborate.

I'd be surprised if it gets above 30C often in most of the coastal (within 75 miles) of northern Europe, which is a big part of the market.
Certainly not often here.

Recalling this thread on cold battery charging, I believe @rs38 used an ODB2 dongle, reverse engineered which data to log, and derived a presumptive SoH percentage from the data.

Scan as an Audi etron GT? I haven’t used my VCDS since we sold our GTI when buying our Taycan.

My view on this is pretty simplistic in that what has been printed in Porsche Good To Know, Owner's Manual etc does not keep pace with the myriad of software updates applied since launch.

The latest major software update I think permits higher battery temps as part of preconditioning - logically this must shift the bar elsewhere.

Too much overthinking and guessing. Drive the car and enjoy it.
