Hi, quick question. Does anyone know if you can turn on a warning sound rather than just the warning light with lane change, lane keep, side assist etc? I know the lights come on to warn you but was wondering if you can turn on sound. I am sure it will get old but I know some cars I have rented have warning lights and sound.

Thanks in advance!

Search on PCM in Vehicle Settings Assistance Systems - if you can add sound it should be there but suspect it's not an option.

Refer to Porsche Good To Know App also.

W1nge is correct. I know that you can set the sound for lane keeping assist and the parking sensors. If you have sound selected, but still get no sound, you may have a problem like I do. In fact, my turn signals do not "click" even though they work and I can see the visuals on the instrument panel. I am going in for a couple things on 30 March. Hopefully, Porsche service will find out what the problem is.

I rode a taycan turbo today, and it had absolutely no warning sounds at all.
Lane change assist, blind spot sounds, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control - no warnings, no sounds at all.
I always had to keep on watching the HUD. which was really hectic.

Is that how it is or was it a buggy car ?

Both, actually.

I'm going to strongly suggest (again) that you want a Tesla, not a Taycan, if the quality of the auto-driving features is a key metric for you.

The Taycan's is a driver's car that has excellent handling, braking, fit and finish. It has poor electronics and autonomy.

I did get sound turned on for lane assist and lane change. It is much better to have sound rather than your wife yelling or watching the HUB.

You are either the world’s most obvious troll or just a total dope. Please, for everyone else’s sake, please buy a self driving Tesla and do not get behind the wheel of a car you actually have to drive.

You sure are doing a lot of test drives to find all these things wrong..... RWD, 4S and now a Turbo.

Why don't you ask the dealer about these things when you get back from the test drives?

Can’t wait to drive the shit out of my Taycan if it ever arrives.

He is both. But please don't be too harsh.
For context though, I'd like you to realize that he was smiling in a cheesy video with a bunch of dancers at the delivery of the G (not AMG) the model name of which he removed from the body and had the front grille changed to mimic a 63...

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness" ?

He must have the worlds most patient sale advisor... ?
