My driver side window oftentimes won't roll up. I have to pull the window switch up multiple times before anything happens. When it finally works, it doesn't work as one touch, but instead I have to hold the button up to roll the window up.

I have tried the window memory reset procedure but it did not help.

Has anyone else had this problem? Dealership could not reproduce and every time I try to get a video of it it starts working.

This malfunction will lead to the breakage of the cables of the glass lifting mechanism. I faced it about a year ago. I think the reason is the failure of the glass lifting mechanism, the previous three Porsche models have never had this. In the salon where I service my car, there were several such cases with the replacement of the mechanism. After replacing the mechanism on my car, the situation practically did not improve, the lubrication of the power window guides helped a little. Therefore, my recommendation is to use lowering and lifting the glass less often.

I had the same issue but it affected all the windows. Porsche service replaced the control electronics several months ago and the windows have worked properly, since.

Do you have the work order for this that shows the part number or other details? All of mine are having issues as well. Thanks

I don't believe that I have the work order, but if I can find it, I will post the information.

Did yours happen very regularly? I haven't been able to capture a video of mine malfunctioning.

The problem was intermittent, but malfunctioned more often than not.

I brought my car in a week ago for them to work on the front windows not going up all the time. The dealer opened a trouble report with Porsche. The dealer was directed to replace the window seals. The issue seems to be excessive friction when raising the windows which the computer interprets as a body part in the path of the window and it stops raising the window. On my rear windows they replaced the seals ( 9J1-839-871 & 9J1-839-872 ) and it seems better. On a previous visit for rear windows they replaced window regulators ( PAD-839-461-A & PAD-839-462-A ) AND door windows 9J1-845-025-D & 9J1-845-026-D. My car is at the dealer awaiting rework of some failed battery cells so I don't know if they continued to work the front window seals. The battery went completely flat while at the dealer. Stay tuned.

Mine is at the dealer right now for some other stuff, and mentioned this as a possible fix, as well as a suggestion from another member. However, the dealer insists that reprogramming them is all that's needed. I told them that I have reset the windows (rolling up/down) a hundred times already and it was only a temporary fix. They then told me that it's a reprogramming in the PCM, but nothing more specific. Hopefully, they're right even though this intermittent problem it's still a PITA. A couple of times we had to roll the window down to get into the gate while it was raining, and it took a while to get it to roll back up!

Porsche replaced my car's window regulators on the four windows a few months ago. That solved the problem.

I have the same issue on mine as well. Is window regulator replacement the main solution?

Problem for me is that it's intermittent as well, and though I have been able to catch it on video sometimes, the service center has a hard time reproducing.
