Your favourite Taycan option & why?

I thought it would be interesting to hear people's favourite options on their car and why.
List one or two.
Perhaps there was something that surprised you in its usability or fun factor. Doesn't matter what it is it's your choice.... your 21" wheels or your surround view camera, etc etc....

And whilst you're here you might as well list an option that you got that having the order placed again you might leave off and swap out for something else.

Be interesting to hear if there is any common themes....

This is gonna be controversial but I love my power charge port doors. Looks great and it closes itself after I unplug!

I regret not going for the full leather interior but still not sure if its worth 5K?

I like to disconnect from the world so my favorite option is the sound insulated glass (in combo with ambient lighting) which allows me to glide along in a quiet, womb-like environment. Worst option: storage package. I still haven’t figured out what I am supposed to suspend from the little plastic hook in the trunk …maybe wet socks, a sack of garlic, voodoo dolls?

doesn’t add to the driving experience but I’d pick the full leather interior, is it worth whatever they charged me here in Canada?

Likely not but it’s adds a lot to the interior. The chalk and black looks really nice.

the option that pisses me off that it’s not standard is folding side mirrors, I was so annoyed I missed checking that box , all our other cars have it. Does t make a world of difference I know but still….

If I had to pick my favorite quality-of-life option it would have to be Active Lane Keep. I've had lane keep features in previous cars, most recently in a model year '17 Audi S but these new Active Lane Keep features do an amazing job of keeping the car centered on the freeway lanes and it really makes highway driving effortless. Cosmetic it would be the Neodyme interior accents that I optioned. Performance I suppose it would be the rear wheel steering option since it makes life easier in all manners of parking lot situation.

Ventilated seats, noise and heat insulating glass along with NOT OPTIONING pano roof. IMO best combo for hot UAE weather

While standard on some models, my pick would be : Air suspension - allows for different ride comfort and ride height (for steep driveways).

Without question, our favorite vanity option, and what sets it apart from just another 4 door sedan (though we all know it’s not), the Mission E wheels with body matched paint. They just look so good it brings joy every time I see them. Unfortunately you can’t see them while driving, but the looks it gets from other drivers and pedestrians remind me they are still there.

From a functional stand point, I wouldn’t want this car without the surround view, regardless of how people feel about the backup camera. Last thing I want to do is curb these wheels, the camera makes avoiding that fairly easy.

From a must have stand point, we couldn’t live without air suspension. It would absolutely bottom out at the top of our driveway if we weren’t able to have it lift as we approach and stays up until we pull away. Variable ride settings is just a bonus.

I know that’s 3, but for 3 different reasons, cosmetic (to some degree), utility, and necessity.

Agree on the Mission E’s. The Taycan is still the best looking car on the road without them but, IMHO, having them is what really turns heads where people know immediately that you are in something special. Especially with paint matching Mission E’s.

I’ll also throw in votes for roof lining in Race-Tex, the illuminated door sills and Porsche logo puddle light projectors. These all give the car that extra touch of luxury I think most people expect from a car at this price point and give you a lot of bang for your buck…

P.S., went to a restaurant last week that was valet only. Realized I left my phone in the center console charger a few minutes after getting out of the car. Went back outside to find the valet guys taking selfies in and outside of the car. They had that “please don’t get me fired” look when they saw me walking to them. I said “don’t mess with my settings and don’t drive it off the lot and you can take as many pics as you want…”.

We all know the car is fantastic, I just wasn’t prepared for how much attention it really gets. I can’t even count how many people just take pictures, ask us if they can take a picture, video the car next to them on the highway, approach and ask us about it, and we even had someone bend down and kiss the hood for a picture. It’s partially the uniqueness of the frozen blue, but again, those wheels, they just turn heads. And as you said, they just scream this car is something special. I’m mean, how many cars have a #metoo moment where someone literally kisses it without permission?

Sports sound. Because it makes me smile and feel like a 12 year old when I turn it on. And that's the whole point about a sports car I think.

I would hate parking a Taycan round where I live without it.

On the other hand I specced the grey windscreen tint. Not sure I've even noticed it yet or what the benefits are - if any.
