UPDATE-EDIT: Before you read this be aware that I solved my issue shortly after posting!
I had two copies of the older Connect app on my phone :) - unaware of the second, I had already deleted the first yet I was getting a conflict with the new MyPorsche app saying I had to remove Connect for some of its sync features to work - lesson learned :). Post left here for any other that might make the same mistake.

I was browsing around familiarizing myself with the endless menus and options and noticed an apparent 'bug' in the (new) MyPorsche App.

First up, I can use all the functions the app provides i.e. I do not seem to have any connection issues in respect my App communicating with my car and the various services provided.

However, when I navigate from the main screen on the App via "Details" to "Functions" and then select "PCM Services", it brings up a screen asking me to "Enable Connection" which in turn brings up a warning dialog stating "Function Blocked" (pic sequence attached).

This appears to be a bug or 'hang-over' from the older Porsche Connect App which I did indeed have on my phone along with the newer MyPorsche App but had since deleted from the phone.

Again, the services seem to be working fine but the newer app appears to think that there is an ongoing conflict with the older app despite it being completely erased from my phone.

Anyone else have this 'feature' and if so any solution to updating/informing the MyPorsche app besides erasing it and having to reload/re-register to see if that clears the confusion?

Or am I reading this incorrectly and the 'error' is advising me to change something in the PCM (all of which seem to be in perfect order!)?

Cheers, C.

4: I get this dialog box, which essentially appears to be a bug default dialog when you have both the old and new apps loaded however my old app is deleted - but perhaps not before the conflict was established between the apps? Again though all my services seem to work!

Well - this is embarrassing - please ignore the above as I decided to re-scan my phone and sure enough despite deleting a prior app I had another copy buried in a different folder - solved my own non-issue - apologies!

@Administrator - please delete thread if possible!

Glad you figured it out. It's worth keeping the thread up since there will inevitably be others who will go through the same path as you.

I do not have the first symbol at the bottom left which I guess is what you are referring to PCM Services. How do I get this added to the app?

So does this indicate that if you have the Porsche Connect app installed, that you cannot also have the My Porsche app installed at the same time?

I believe that first icon is the Remote Parking function. I don’t have it either but I don’t have that option on my 2020 model year Taycan. Do you have the remote park assist package on your car?

I am getting the same error message as the OP. Appears to be due to conflict between the two apps(Connect & My Porsche apps). Not due to having a previous version of the same My Porsche app installed.

You can have them both installed at the same time but you will be (even more) limited on the MyPorsche app to what you can do while Porsche Connect is installed. However, MyPorsche is currently more limited than Connect in functionality even if it is the only one you have installed. That will likely improve over time and I believe the plan is eventually to retire Connect and have everyone on the MyPorsche app but for now I would keep both installed if I were you or else you’ll lose some of the functionality you currently have on the Connect app.

Yes - it came with the revamped 2022 Tech package - had no interest int the Remote Parking itself (and amazingly I have yet to test it but not mad eager to do so either!).

But actually I do like the added options it comes with of door opening warning, rear maneuver assist and front view exit assists etc - those features def worth having but again, bungled with the Tech pkg.

When you install the My Porsche app it does give you a pop up to remove Porsche connect if it's installed, it says having both apps installed will cause a conflict.

Thank you. Now I see, said the blind man to his lame daughter who had just jumped the fence.

Yes if you read my post you'd see I did remove the Connect app - the other copy was buried two folders deep on the phone and I was unaware I had 2 copies.

Also, again as pointed out in the post, despite the supposed conflict - all functions were performing flawlessly even with the second undeleted copy of Connect on the phone.

Personally I have nothing more I need from this app - with the MyPorsche app I have:

1. Remote park assist full function
2. See current SOC and mileage
3. monitor remote charging status
4. Setup/monitor departure timer
5. lock and unlock
6. locate car & navigate to vehicle
7. Setup and toggle on/off precool-heat
8. Access to car manual
and more.

Won't even use most of these half the time - prefer to focus on enjoying the ride :)

PS: As I suggested elsewhere, it would however be nice imo to fully integrate the Porsche NA Charging app into this app.
