Both charging doors won’t open

After multiple visits to the dealer, all software updates and replacing the charging door on the driver’s side, now both charging doors won’t open! No way to charge the car now. Literally feel like giving up!
anyone know how to fix this or at least get the door open so I can charge. I already tried turning it off and on several times.

There is an emergency release for the doors.

No there isn’t! There’s an regency release if the charging cable is plugged in. Not to open the electric door. And both doors don’t work, so this is definitely software.

Read the.manual - there is. One for the door and one for the cable.

Likely software or poor cabling on refit as root cause.

Ok. Thanks. It’s not very comforting snapping that door off with the tool they give you. Ugh. and you can’t use DC fast charge doing it that way.
But now it’ll have to back to the dealer again.

Glad I didn't spec the fancy charge port doors - for precisely this reason!

I have them and (touch wood) been 100% solid for15 months. No allowance for incompetent dealerships however.

Agreed. I spec’d the electric doors and have zero concerns. Once these are sorted out MWarsaw, he will probably go back to loving them and never look back. I know some people could find a way to justify manually cranking the windows for the sake of simplicity and weight savings but I think the electric doors are slick…car looks a bit unfinished without them.

Agreed. I spec’d the electric doors and have zero concerns. Once these are sorted out MWarsaw, he will probably go back to loving them and never look back. Exactly lol. It's interesting seeing how human logic works. The thread on the lack of electric steering wheel adjustment is wild as there are literally people saying they will cancel their order without it. Wonder how many of them use the same excuse to not spec the motorised charge port doors? Lol

Yes…well I also love the power charge ports (and also love to show people)! But damn, when the software glitch got me this morning, I hated them! Now the car is back at the dealer and I know they’re not going to know what to do. They just updated everything last week! Ugh…

I have the electric ones. Replaced both after a few errors on either side like the one in photo. Sometimes the port opened but the car would not charge (AC or DC). I agree it's critical to have the car repaired by skilled technicians...
