Great stuff - when did you place your order?
About a week before launch back in November - I have a Neptune CT 4S that I’ll be trading in, but GTS is the model to have I think.. expected late June but who really knows..

I have PEC day booked for June, so hopefully it will be possible to test PDCC, however I drove a GTS ST without it this weekend and I couldn’t fault the handling at all.
...

I was keen on the Race Tex interior until I saw it this weekend. I just don’t think the quality matches the leather equivalent. Disappointing as I really wanted to like it! Will still have a Race Tex steering wheel though.

Not convinced on Lane Change Assist. I’ve not had it before and didn’t find it very useful on the demo car.
Definitely don’t want or need comfort access. I made the boot open once in five attempts. Waggling my leg around like an idiot with my wife laughing at me isn’t worth the extra £!

I like the look of the rear seats without the 4+1 option, and I’m too tall for anyone to sit behind me anyway, so it’s a 3 seater at best. Ditto for 4 way climate control.

I guess you must have specced a lot in the interior, which I’d love to do, but cannot possibly justify!
The PEC people told me last week they have a GTS with and without PDCC now, so you should be in luck hopefully.

The GTS RaceTex (so with contrast stitching and carbon etc) felt really lovely to me when I sat in it. The std RaceTex interior was a little underwhelming. Leather's nice enough, but everything has a leather interior :)

If you're tall enough to block the seat right behind you, I'd have thought having the middle one open for use would be even more key :) (I'm 6'4" and can get people behind me comfortable enough, though the ingress/egress is harder for adults as the space under my seat was limited). And I didn't really notice much difference in look other than the lack of a plastic oddments tray. It's something I think Porsche could have designed better. And as noted, I think it may take a nick out of resale eventually (which may or may not be an issue).

Lane Change Assist is something I never really imagined needing....but we have it on our Volvo and I find it really useful at times, such that jumping into other cars, I miss it. It doesn't stop me looking if I see no light, but I can catch the light out of my peripheral vision and know without looking to stay put.

Comfort access is similar. Another Volvo accoutrement that I miss when it's not there. Having arms full of shit and just being able to flick a foot under the bumper (takes practice!) and the boot opens is more helpful than I imagined it could be. Similarly, being able to touch a door handle with an elbow and it locks can also be very handy.

I just looked at comparable specs and you're right, it's pretty much all on interior stuff :) (or :().

The GTS interior and a few extra RaceTex bits on contact points add up to just shy of £5k

The only bits that I'll not worry about my blushes on that might be worth a thought....ambient lighting and front and rear seat heating (though it sounds like you're not that bothered about the rear).

I've kind of taken the general approach that over £100k is bonkers money for a car (never paid that for one - I am supremely out of touch with how much cars now cost it seems, as I've had some OK cars!) and so sod it. Another £5k on fake suede, as it will make me feel less OCD about it, and I do like stroking alcantara, doesn't really make it any less sane that it already is!

We'll Comfort is a reasonable option actually - less waggle and more in and out hokey cokey is what you need. Easy when you know how.

The big thing apart from door opening is the lack of pressing the power button. Climb in sit down engage go.
I was not aware it did that (re: power button). I’ll take a closer look next time I visit the OPC…

I’m now agreed on the 22KW charger. It’s a no.

I agree on the 22KW charger but have a different view on PDCC for a GTS. The question here is not whether or not you can live without it, the real question is whether or not PDCC would add to the GTS experience. GTS is for drivers that really appreciate the experience….which is (or should be) a more distinct class of Porsche buyer(s). If it enhances the experience for you, you should go for it. My 4S is spec’d with it because the smallest handling details are something I appreciate….even though the car is plenty capable without.

Disgree. Porsche’s most sporty cars do not have PDCC (as standard or an option).

Apparently it IS available in the UK now.
Interesting - not been communicated or mentioned in Porsche press releases of late.

I don't have an allocation yet for my GTS but perhaps it will spring to life by then.

Well, Member “STGTS” who posted the order tracker image is from the UK (and I assume has ordered the car from a UK dealer).

I‘m sure I’ve seen a few other UK members post the details of their orders too (not necessarily Taycans).

Comfort access is keyless entry, no? It is standard in Canada.

Not to pull your key out and press the unlock button should really be a standard in today’s age.

Also include frunk hand gesture opening.

so, definitely consider this.
