prefatory comment: I absolutely love my 2022 RWD, finest car I've ever driven. Now:

1. let's say the car is unlocked, and keys are in the house. I get inside the car and presto everything turns on as though I was ready to drive away, including AC and radio and lights. So I press and hold the off switch when I'm ready to exit the car but a message comes on saying my keys aren't near (meaning I have to leave everything on until I go in the house and get my keys, and only then can I turn everything back off). Why turn on the car without key but not let you turn off the car also without key? Huh?

2. those info messages as I'm driving away from my house - WiFi is connected and so is my phone. And they're separate messages so you have to click both of them off in order to access the info screen (they don't just go away themselves after a couple of seconds). Wonder if there's a way to disable these messages.

1. The car can detect your key while at home. That’s not ideal as it will drain your key fob battery really quickly. Invest in a faraday cage for your keys at home.
2. I’ve never seen these messages. Sorry.

1. May need to keep your key in the house physically further away from the car (min 10 m but 20+ better)
2. I do not get those messages either - possibly a notification warning that can be disabled either in your PCM or perhaps your phone (are you using CarPlay?)?

Only thing again I can think of is somewhere there might the option then to turn off those notifications - not by my car so can't take a quick look right now. If not then a bit baffling.

You have Comfort Access.
It is an all round security risk.
If your car can detect your keys from inside the house so can the villains at the front door with a scanner and a lap top.
These professional thieves know where the tracker is fitted too!
Use Faraday cages or boxes or just disable comfort access in case you forget to put your key in that ‘special’ place.
Also a risk if you are near your car and distracted by the kids. Someone could jump in your car.
Finally don’t forget to NOT spec Comfort Access on your next Porsche.
Save yourself a thousand dollars.

I also see these messages regarding garage and, also, when I turn the car off I get a "Goodbye" message, which is somewhat useful and easier to ignore.

You might want to check under settings -> Notification Center and see if those options make any difference. My wife is away with the car for the weekend so I can't check to see how my options are set but I bet those informational messages can be disabled.

I llike comfort access…so i prefer to lock the car, and keep keys away from it.

I don’t see how disabling comfort access stops the security risk. It simply keeps the car from unlocking as you approach. But if you’re in or out of the car in range of somebody with a reader aren’t you at risk of the bob being copied even though you have comfort access turned off?

I think you can stop the key sending out the ‘Steal my Car’ signal.
Safer just to not option at all!

I think comfort access is standard in the US?

It's standard on my new RWD under Comfort and Assistance Systems along with Lane Keep Assist, Cruise control, ParkAssist (front and rear) with reversing camera, and HomeLink programmable garage door opener.

Comfort access is specifically the functionality that moves the seat back and the steering wheel out of the way for ingress and egress.

It is not the keyless start and operation of the vehicle.
