I think that dealers have now been notified of their allocations for the remainder of 2022. Though of course there's no guarantee that circumstances won't interfere with the production schedule.

We can all speculate on this one - but we will only really know when it is delivered, or not. I would be surprised if you get it as promised - I am sure you will keep us posted!
I was expecting mine possibly at the end of this year before the production issues.

If I get it this time next year I'll consider that fortunate at present.

Hi,
Thanks for the detail.
I too am in the UK and have ordered a cor through the salary sacrifice scheme, so aware of the tax deductions, etc and understand that the net take home hit is considerable low compared to actually leasing it privately.

Would you mind sharing your build cost? How much is your car build cost (approx) if you had bought it from Porsche? Basically, what is the actual sale price of your build?

Reason I am enquiring is that I have a lease cost of nearly £1,000 and my car price is about £104,000.
I have a 3 year lease, 15,000 miles an annum.
Includes service, maintenance and insurance.

What I wanted to understand is what is your car price against the £700?

I appreciate that your tax rebate is likely higher, so the savings may be more… but a £300 cheaper figure got me thinking.… Is my leasing company charging me too much?
If I had bought the car it would have been £95,000 I think. Yes, a cheap spec for a Taycan CT4S... but it's leased, not mine.

My lease cost was based on 3 years and 7.5k miles per year, no deposit, free home charger and installation and fully maintained. I could also hand the car back with zero penalty if I left the company.

I'm not sure how much 15k miles per year adds - as I costed 5k miles per year and it only saved me £8 per month so I left it at 7
5k per annum. I do VERY few miles per year anyway. Less than 4k average over 5 years... but it bumps up when I do a European F1 camping trip every other year.

I'm conscious that this thread is in danger of being "hijacked" and unfair on the OP... so if you want to discuss further I'd suggest we move this to PM and I can go into more detail about how/why it's so cheap.

Not to go off-topic, but how do you find driving a RHD car on RHD roads?

I have done lots of driving on RHD roads in LHD cars, to the point it feels completely natural to me and doesn't get confusing.

However, I have plans for a European road trip late summer, and that will be in a UK RHD car.

Be great to hear your insights and any tips.

Pardon my interjection, but from using a LHD as my main car in the UK for around 10 years, my main challenge (in the UK) was barriers that required button press or card insertion. Similarly tricky with drive through "restaurants" but I only did that once for a laugh- in reverse.

Sand Dancer - the position on ST models is worse on the GTS...delivery timelines for an ST over a saloon are a good bit longer.
[/QUOTE]

caution noted. I am being optimistic on the basis that the ST is a relatively new model, two separate OPC (reading and Cambridge) had confirmed ST is on much shorter delivery than a coupe, I’d back/forthed this with Zenith and my company Zenith account manager, and (most importantly) I think I really want it to be true (anyone say “blind faith”)

Add a 3rd OPC to that list. Orpington also said exactly the same back in February this year - although the wait time if you order now will be much longer as the ST appears to be very popular.

My dealer said they had 15 Orders on the GTS ST and had been given allocation of just 2 till end of year and wouldn’t get any more.

So i guess if no one cancels and they got all 13 other allocations (quite a high allocation!) in 2023 then i would get mine in 2024.

I’m hoping some of the 13 who will get next year will pull out so i get bumped up!

My build hopefully is November …my dealer has 10 allocations with deposits paid behind me …2 of my local dealers have demo GTS STs already sold which will be released to the customers after 12 months which means they will probably be replaced adding to the situation

When did you order and which dealer ? I don’t know if different dealers have better allocations and less orders than others.

And in stark contrast: I ordered (4S ST) late March (this year), production estimate was initially end of year, but last month I got a call that the car will be finished in August (this year).

As a new UK Taycan future customer I was given the info from a dealer that the Cross 4 had a shorter delivery than a Cross 4S .
Is this true or sales BS .?

I'd be slightly suspicious of this if I were you guys. It may be spot on, but...

You are being advised of build slots 6mths out. I don't think my dealer has been made aware of any yet (not spoken to them for a few weeks though) and UK deliveries and build slots for people that ordered on or before release day are barely trickling through at the moment.

So either the lease companies are getting favourable treatment from the factory, dealers are getting more build slots than we are hearing on here or your lease companies aren't being straight.

I'm due to contact my dealer in the next week or so to get an extended test in their GTS ST demonstrator and will ask where they are with build slots. Maybe the movement of the harness factory has opened things up a fair bit, or Porsche have found other ways to speed up production. But I doubt we wouldn't have heard a lot of positive stories on here if that was the case?

I was actually told about the build slot by Porsche, not Tusker. The rep told me that the Taycan builds they had been allocated were the first they’d had since February, so I’m hoping it’s all pretty solid info. I’ll find out at the end of the year either way …
