But they are selling well and most people are not switching to other brands
Yes it is a great shame that we still have trouble with absolutely basic things. Just think about if you had a mobile phone that behaved in the same way. And a mobile phone with connection to an operator is all this is. How Porsche can f*** this up so badly, deserves this years Darwin Award. It is such a disgrace.

I have been looking at switching yo another brand, but there really is nothing out there that I like. The EQS is a like a boat. Nice but rolls all over the place. Audi GT will be the same crap SW. I might actually swap back to a nice ICE model? BMW M8, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes GT? But that feels so wrong.
There certainly would not be any Porsche on such a shortlist.

Does the new 911's, Panamera's, etc have all these connectivity issues now that they are also on PCM 6.0? I don't follow any dedicated 911 forums – is there talk of issues there?

When I had a MIB2-based Panamera – its connectivity features were rock-solid. So I'm just wondering are Porsche's other models starting to take a step backwards connectivity wise?

I got this response from Porsche GB after suggesting it’s a Porsche Server issue:

Porsche AG have made us aware of an issue impacting the performance of a number of customer’s MyPorsche app. We are currently awaiting their investigation into this and therefore any feedback that we are able to provide you.

We have raised a case here to document that you are affected by this, in order for us to be able to contact you once an update is received.

It's a very interesting point. No they don't. I have a 992 tts my22 (march). Just a couple of glitches in total: once LTE off for 1h (no LTE no CarPlay no Apple Music etc). Another time emergency call button (red) for 2h. From a customer perspective the difference in features seems minimal (remote pre-cooling and charging profile management) but who knows if architecture, stacks, data monitored, etc are the same and why are these issues so much more prominent for taycans?

Yes I have switched users in the car, logged out of the service and tried to log back in. I have done the two finger reset, I have done the 12 volt reset, I have logged out of app and back in. I have switched between apps and website etc. So far nothing has helped. I actually had it working better than ever during trips in June, but now stone dead.
I have the exact same problem as you and have also tried al of the above without success... picked up my pre-owned Taycan 4S 2020. June 27 And the app worked for 4 days.. have had this issue from June 30. i miss the charging info and pre-cooling function..
i have created a ticket but whitout any help from the support yet. Seems to be server related but very annoing!

This issue has now been acknowledged by Porsche as a significant issue affecting some Taycan owners. The OPC's (here in the UK at least) have been given some instructions in the last few days to attempt to resolve matters. It seems to be along the lines of a hard reset of the PCM.

Ok, thanks. Sounds promising, hopefully Porsche can solve it remotely. Don’t like the hassle to go to the dealer..

I have been asked to book the car in for 3days. Apparently a hard reset is time consuming and I suspect I will lose all settings! It does not sound like a remote fix is possible - sorry.

Porsche Server is now connecting to the Taycan. However, still no connection to PCM but not sure if this has ever connected. Remote features now working through Connect app.

A hard reboot is a disconnect of the 12v battery for less than 5 mins. Allow 20 mins overall.

Sounds like they will be doing much more than the above.

Many settings are saved but not all.

3 days, sounds like more than the 12V battery disconnect ? which I have tried without any luck.

I will book a slot for a service soon (due in august) and will let them now about this issue if it isn’t resolved by then. They will have the car for a couple of days anyway as the hood is going thrue a repaint free of charge due to some chips in the paint I observed when I bought it.
Hopefully the PCM update is also available at that time for me to have the updated version including Spotify, new icons etc.

Hi guys
Here is connect answer , sorry in french.
the same as you were given with in addition: « eventually a change of the connection box »

- Réinitialisation des fonctions "Over-the-air" (OTA-FC) par testeur PIWIS select Over the Air OTA-Function Controller —> Maintenance/Repairs —> ORU Warning

can you guys do me a favour: and check the date of the last synchronization of PCM with the backend?

you find this info slightly hidden in the accounts menu:

then you need to scroll down to see the timestamp.

my last sync is out dated and showing the days of backend migration.
What date is your cars show? pls only date and MY, no pic :)
