According to rumors:

Porsche’s current dual-motor hardware can only be pushed so far, so to provide over 1,000bhp to take on Tesla, the firm could adopt a triple-motor configuration for the new flagship. This would also unlock precise torque-vectoring capabilities on the associated axle, with the extra power and cornering performance likely to slash the Turbo S’s 7m33sec Nurburgring lap time.

Since Porsche owns 20% or so of Rimac, then they don't really need to beat the Nevera since they are part of the family.

You can only just about get away with an overblown rear spoiler like that on a 2 door- and even then it'll make you look a bit of a knob around town. On a 4 door, it's a car cruiser's wet dream with naffness turned up to 11.

Hmm... If I follow your logic, they could just use some of their IPO money to buy some shares of Tesla, then they won't have to compete with Plaid either, right?

If they want to claim fastest EV, they need to beat Nevera, or tripple their stake in Rimac and kill it, then beat Plaid.
