Really good being on this forum - could potentially save £££ - I would never have thought to question these points.

Just had my first 2 year service carried out at Porsche in Bournemouth, cost breakdown as follows;

Minor service £178.60
Dust and Pollen Filter £64.02
Window Cleaner Outer £8.33
*DG* 3v Battery £6.54
Replace Break Fluid £120.20
Actual break fluid £19.80

So £397.49 excl VAT

And they changed the high voltage heater unit for the second time this year!

Yeah I know, originally went in March this year, and last week same thing. All the fans blowing but only cold air coming out, misses was well pleased as she was out in it at the time and had to have cold air on max to stop the windscreen fogging up.

They sent the AA as was deemed as a serious issue as same unit that manages battery temp., guy said it was the 8th one they had collected that week with the same issue, garage confirmed saying they had another 4 in waiting for new heater units to be swapped out.

Bargain given they didn't charge you the full 2.25hrs of labour. Expensive battery though!

My car (2020 4S w/perf plus) had a service at Porsche Reading in July 2022 where it got the coloured uPdate (19K miles at the time). I purchase it in Oct this year and it has just crossed 20K miles.

Is there anywhere that I can check if the car needs a service or what it had done previously? In the Porsche app, it just shows “Now Service” under Service intervals but when I run through it, I need to select the type of service.

Would be great to know what has been done and what is due if any? I’m wondering if I should wait a few months and time it with another uPdate if there’s another coming?

The car will tell you when the next service is due.

Each scheduled service has a predefined series of activities and can be found on the Porsche website.

At your 18K service you should have received paperwork detailing work done.

Historical software updates are less easy to uncover and your dealer would be the main source.

I’ve just had a quote from Porsche Cardiff

1. 20k/2 year main inspection: £488.17 + VAT

2. Door sill check and clean, includes removal of wheel: £356.28 + VAT

They said “Please see attached the service quotation, I have included the drain tubes checks this is part of the service maintenance, just to advise you if you do not wish to have this carried out we do have to record this and if there were any water leaks in the future unfortunately you would not be covered.”

Do you have the glass roof? that also 'needs' checking, so wondering if that incl in the £356 bit.

Sounds about right.

The sting in the tail here is the £180 / HR labour charge of which you need 2.5hrs.

Brake fluid is replaced.

Drainage checks are an irritant IMHO.

Yeah I do have a glass roof but I think they would itemise that if it was included?
I thought that was the main ‘concern’ for blocked drainage channels in the car. I’d check!

Check where there would be any drain channels for the fixed glass roof? Why would there be any?
