Hi,

Was estatic to hear that I finally got my allocation yesterday after putting a downpayment on a CT4S late July, with an estimated delivery of May. Very disappointed, though, that apparently cherry metallic has been discountinued, though it still shows up in the configurator. Oh well, back to the drawing board (as they say).

Is cherry metallic what we have as Carmine red in the uk? I managed to lock in this week in that colour for May delivery

Too bad…that color is stunning in person. One of the most underrated Taycan colors in my opinion.

In future, I am sure that Porsche would be happy to make it available as PTS?

Not carmine red - cherry metallic is/was one of the metallic options and still appears in the UK configurator. I recall someone saying they had looked to select it for their GTS not so long ago but it wasn't available.

My TYD for a 4CT in the same build window as yours is configured with Cherry Metallic. Though my wife is leaning more to Gentian Blue at the moment, she still has a few weeks to make up her mind.

Your dealer isn't by chance suggesting a monochrome (white, gray, black) color are they?

Nope - I would've been suspicious if they had. Weird thing is, though, that the colour is still available in the configurator for Canada.

No it’s not available, I went into the dealer on Monday to finalise my order and was told I couldn’t have Cherry, they didn’t know whether it was temporarily or permanently.

I looked on Friday and it was there for sure and still there now....

Cars with specs locking today won't start building for a month or so. I can't believe that there's a supply chain issue causing a temporary stop. If Porsche is planning on changing up the colors for 24 it could be that there's already enough Cherry Metallic in the queue to use up the existing stock of paint.

none of the pts colors are available either for the entire MY2023. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were having logistic issues with other special but less than pts special paints too
