My turn at getting some thoughts on my build. Finalizes in ~2 weeks.
I'm coming from a Yukon XL as my daily since it was the most practical car for 3 very young kids. I previously had a Cayenne GTS and before that an E92 M3. I need something that can fit 3 boosters in the back for the occasions i'm doing dad duties but that part of my drive is barely 10min/day. The rest of my day is 40 miles on highways and sometimes nice back country roads.
The GTS ST seems appropriate to fit my needs while also having the bonus of being electric. If I couldn't find a GTS ST soon, I was planning to get an Audi RS6 Avant.
So whacha think of my build??

ok another one of these thread…

consider the following:
  • wheel locks
  • all season tires vs. lower range summer tires (do you really really need the extra grip at the limits) - I've gone back to the all seasons to get back range after a set of summer grippy tires - unless your tracking this beast the incremental grip advantage of the summer tires I would humbly suggest is pointless.
  • 14 way seats allow "massage" option - not an option with 18 way seats
  • roof rails are useful for tracks/bikes/xmas trees/cargo in general - and impossible to retrofit
  • puddle lights are cheap and offer some "fun" and 'function' in that they let you better judge stepping distance & location at night
  • black calipers will make the rotors disappear with your wheel choice - unless you want the flash of red - I could see it either way
  • people seem to like the thermal & noise glass
  • my wife prefers the passenger screen to staring at any blank trim piece, it's minimally useful but does more than an inert piece of plastic
  • consider an experience center delivery - it's super awesome too much no good fun!!

For me an only my opinion so no offence

1. RS Spyder Wheels
2. Race Tex Interior
3. B Pillars in Race Tex
4. Drop the Red seat belts loo odd as no other red
5. Drop the HUD display, duplication of what can be displayed on the main driver screen and creates a bump on the dash top.

1,2 as it's a GTS

I prefer the HUD, it’s a lot easier in traffic, rather than looking down to the dash after 5 years with HUD I don’t want to be without one anymore. + you can use the 3 areas behind the wheel for other screens.

I’ve enjoyed HUDs in a few cars, but in the Taycan with how close the screen is within your field of view, and things like the speedometer at the top of the dash, it really just makes things super redundant.

I personally have HUD on my CT4 currently because it came with it, but on my GTS build nixxed it.

Thx for the replies!
I’ve gotta have a HUD. Feels like something is missing everytime I drive a car without one!
Agree on the racetex for the gts except I live in the SE. Racetex not an option for vented seats unfortunately.

Agreed , definitely keep the HUD. Can’t see driving without it anymore.

Sports chrono waste of money. Looks crap.
Rear steering
Dimming and folding mirrors
4+1 seats
All red in and out as a homage to Satan
Minimum 21" wheels. The rest are crap
Air suspension waste of money unless standard.
RWD is the best Taycan
Big battery ?
150w on board charger for non U.S. and Tesla supercharger
Bose
Grey tint windscreen
Matrix lights
Blackened rear windows
Ceramic brakes
Panoramic roof waste of money as the people in the front get no benefit
HUD display. Must have
Carmine red. The only colour. Everyone else specs Bailey's Cream
360* view surrounded park assist
Automatic parking. It works great.
Porsche Tracker and an elite steering wheel lock

Wow, literally the only thing I would agree with you on this option list is the Bose and RWS. ?

But that’s why it’s great we all have the ability to spec cars exactly how we want.
