As for PDCC, I have it along with all of the other performance options. Having it provides more range in terms of suspension comfort and performance. When the car is in its normal setting, it makes for an extremely plush ride. When it Sport and Sport +, it makes the car extremely sharp and responsive….the ability to change direction is incredible. I firmly believe that the car (with its low Cg) is really good without this but PDCC is one of Porsche’s engineering magic tricks. If you care deeply about this kind of thing, then it’s worth it. I am amazed at the difference in the personality of the car each time turn the dial. Hope this helps.
I had PDCC on my Cayenne and it was none of the above. Pretty sure the comfort aspect is marginal having driven both. PDCC is not about a magic carpet ride IMHO.

I have had my CT4S for about 3 months now.
Cherry was my second choice colour, I got Mamba, both much better IMHO than the usual monochrome choices :)

I much prefer the look of the sculpted ally roof to the glass one, and dislike glass roofs generally, nor do I like privacy glass so I didn’t choose them, nor have I ever used a roof rack so didn’t bother with the rails either.

Your mechanical spec is similar to mine. I actually selected PDCC when matrix lights and racetex B-pillar were unavailable when my order was fixed. One of my mates who is a Porsche ambassador said it was worthwhile, I assumed it would also give better ride due to the lower single wheel rate of disconnected ARBs if that is what they do. It is probably the only option I may not choose again.

I didn’t bother with HUD even though I have it in my current car since the dash is more or less in eyeline anyway given the seating position.
I also deliberately chose neither adaptive cruise - which I dislike on my current car - nor innodrive, but I rarely go on congested motorways.

Comfort access I thought was too expensive for what it is but I do slightly miss the touch open or lock function. Not sure I would choose it or not next time.

The seat massage and comfort seats are very popular and good, I didn’t bother with crests, and realise I haven’t noticed (!) nor 4-way climate, the rear seats aren’t used much and usually by grandchildren who may fiddle with the settings…

I didn’t bother with passenger display either and haven’t missed it.

For me both the sound and electric charge ports are pointless. I lasted about 1 minute of sound before switching it off, and I have 2 hands so opening and plugging isn’t a problem and the aero is better without, even if marginally.

Bose was unavailable when i ordered mine and panic was being spread on forums about what a massive catastrophe that was, so I was a bit nervous, but the standard system is fine IME, and I’m a music lover.

Overall I’m thrilled with mine.
I don’t like the look of the plastic wheelarch rims, but accept it for the better ride of a CT and the gravel mode for reaching family farms up long bumpy tracks, otherwise I may have gone for the ST but then would also have missed the compass which I like.

Overall on mine I particularly like the non-monochrome colour and non-black interior. The massage seats are a hit. I regretted the unavailability of both Bose and matrix lights but the standard fitment has been fine in both cases.

Sorry to hear about your Cayenne. It’s great on the Taycan….not night and day different, but one step beyond.

passenger screen is more useful than a blank piece of plastic/trim in it's place - and it is useful on road trips to have the passenger do music & navigation - I'm also hopeful that it will gain more functionality with future software updates - but I'll admit that's blind optimism.

my wife finds that she misses it in our 2021 Cayenne and 2022 Turbo S - both cars seem "empty" with nothing but dash trim in that location.

YMMV

Lots of good advice.
Especially WINGE and F1Eng trying to control your spend and save you money. The only person to encourage that spec would be your salesman.
I agree that your original is WAY OVER specced.

I have a GTS that comes with £20k worth of what would be extras on the 4S, most of which I am not bothered about.
Like the noise (irritating) and Sports Chrono which makes dash and wheel uglier.
PTV which I don’t notice.
Nothing wrong with base trim.

I love the Alcantara but I would have preferred the base trim plastic on doors and dash without the unnecessary seams.
I am in the huge minority here.
This forum could be renamed the
‘Dead Cow Skin Fan Forum’
Some even suggest the heresy of changing the gorgeous Alcantara on a GTS to dead cow.

Love the 18 way seats.

Even with the 20k of ‘included extras’ I still didn’t get RAS or PDCC or Bose or Surround Parking or HUD or electric ports or passenger screen or 4 zone climate….. and others.

Didn’t option them. Didn’t need them. Don’t miss them.

I only added 7k of extra to my GTS
I only added 6k to my 4S
Both cars were/are sublime.

Fold and dimming mirrors. Glass roof. Bigger wheels. Crayon. Side Rear airbags. Adaptive Cruise. 150kw booster.
Bargain(s)
Hope this helps.
Have fun on the configurator!

I'm 5'11" and in my ideal driving position, I'm unable to see the digital speed reading in the dash as it's blocked by the top of the steering rim. This is with 14 ways and the seat as low to the floor as it'll go. I ordered the car sight unseen and without a test drive so I'm glad that I ordered HUD. I also have it in my other cars and will always option it in the future since I feel like it just helps keep my eyes on the road better.

I did not order the electric charge port door and regret it since the manual door feels plasticity and cheap (flexes). Perhaps if reports start coming in that the powered door breaks down and is an expensive fix, I'll be somewhat consoled but for now I regret not adding it.

I'm the same height and have the same seats. I can see everything on the dash...odd that you can't.

There is a sweet spot where the curvature of the steering wheel fits between the digital cockpit icons on the left and right hand side so as not to obscure anything. Suggest you adjust further and get your seat adjusted fully.

Not really odd. We can be the same height but have very different leg/torso/neck/etc ratio. I have no need to readjust my seating position since I have HUD, everything else is perfect.
