I suspect if we're told of another six month delay for a part that isn't necessary for vehicle operation during the next six months where we live, this would be our first and only "Porsche experience". At the end of the day, is it really just a Volkswagen with some fancy badges stuck on it?
Not even remotely close lol. If anything Porsche owns VW. Nobody hops into a 911 and goes "what a wonderful volkswagen i got here." That's like saying a 2010 Ferrari is basically a fancy Fiat.

This is the new heater. (Production march 5th 2023) It’s installed today in my CT. Also with a new on board charger, i saw my old one as well.(second one) (production june 2021), new PCM (5th !) and steering house.
Thanks for photos. Is the fabric strap around the heater what is holding it in place in the car?
Do you have a part number for the new heater? I'm wondering if it is different part number than the previous one.
Your car has had five PCMs?..... Bro, leave some PCMs for the rest of us......
;)

Hi, the fabric strap is indeed what’s holding the heater. And yes, partnumber is different. Also little bit bigger.
sorry for the parts i’m using. ??My ct has been in the garage for more then.9 months in total. 9/18 months.

You must have a good case to get a new car. I have had Trouble with mine, but nothing on that scale! Wow

Told I'll get my car Wednesday afternoon, 408 since order............... been sat at the docks for weeks .. but SA says car at the dealership in the morning,
Good news. Have they fitted a new heater. Your car may be before they took the decision to stop shipping which someone suggested was car made after Week 5.

my GTS ST arrived at Houston Port on 3/6 and it's been there since. SA said he recieved a two lists of stop sale vins and my car is not on it. For what's worth, I also didnt get the pop up msg on TYD on heater delays. TYD still has the delivery date of 3/11...

Just stinks nobody could tell me exactly what's going on and updated timeline.
Just a point of reference for more speculation. I did get an update this afternoon. SA sent me a screenshot of :

NA10 PDI in 03/11/2023
NA19 PDI finished (blank)
V810 Release for Transport (blank)

Again, this is at the Houston Port.

For what it's worth, my new heater arrived and was replaced Friday. The part number on my paperwork is the same as the old:

PAD-963-507
Labor Type: W
HIGH-VOLTAGE 1 HEATING (PTC)

So... either A) I got an old part that will likely fail again, B) they are using the same part number, C) There is a revision on the number that wasn't printed, or D) They asked for the part number listed but received an updated part and didn't document the number.

@Alex74 Does your paperwork from dealer service show the part number of the new heater, or could you get it?

Or it was an inconsistent manufacturing process and nobody knows which heaters currently in the field will fail. If they fixed the manufacturing process, they might not roll the part number as to not imply that all of old ones will fail.
