Well, SA just emailed me to update on what I already knew, that the ship is arriving later today and he said to expect my car by the end of next week.
Weirdly my TYD just sent me an alert that the car reached Houston on the 18th and will be at my dealer today. My SA just confirmed the same. I still have to trust VesselFinder instead which shows the boat landing in Houston on the 25th.

This shouldn't be so hard.

That really is weird! Especially since TYD updated too! While my car has conceivably arrived since the ship is en route to you, I'd think my TYD would also update but it hasn't moved. I haven't heard anything from my SA since Saturday, but I hope to today. So far the best I've gotten is from free ship tracking sites ?. BTW, Fleetmon gives free satellite tracking and scheduled arrivals for the ports! It's been more helpful than the others throughout this unexpectedly harrowing journey.

Full disclosure -- the only reason I'm on this forum is that you Porsche guys seem to have a level of obsessiveness that rivals my own. I have a new Audi RS7 that got dropped off in Jacksonville on 3/13 (it was on the Neptune Koper). I got my Monroney sticker on 3/14 which I understand is one of the last things that happen during port processing. Does Porsche just process / deliver vehicles that much faster than Audi? Seems like a lot of these Taycans are showing up in less than a week after being unloaded.

Nah, check some other threads about heater issues and holds and port delays... at least 50% are sitting somewhere around the globe, from the sample size here at least. I'm shocked at my own obsession, not that I don't get obsessed about stuff but that I first got on the waitlist saying "Eh, if it comes it comes, no biggie," and I literally forgot about it until I got a call 3 months later. I've wanted this car ever since I laid eyes on it and knew after so many years pining for a luxury car this was "The One." But it still felt like a pipedream and I figured if it's meant to be, it'll be. Fast forward to today and I just had to pop a pill to get a grip (barely).

So an arrival with a 24 hour port processing sounds very fast! How exciting!! How did you get the sticker?? From the dealer? I'd kill for mine, especially since it's one of the last things the finance officer wants before finalizing the paperwork (whew).

Annnnd my TYD has updated as of an hour ago...
Porsche Taycan Scheduled Deliveries For March 2023 - Post Yours 1679332880897

Good news is the March dates didn't suddenly become October dates, but there's still plenty of time for it to sit in the black hole of port processing before a disappointing update.

Congrats on your incoming RS7!! While my eyes have always been on Lexuses and Porsches, my husband will want his Audi someday I'm sure... Enjoy!

Dealer emailed me a copy of the Monroney the same day. I just found out that it's been released to carrier since 3/14. Current ETA showing in the system is between 3/18 (which passed already obviously) and 3/22. Hopefully it gets there by 3/22 which would allow me to fly to Atlanta and pick it up this weekend.

As a point of reference, the ship had left the port (even according to TYD) before TYD showed it offloaded. I also got pictures from my SA of the car being prepped (at the dealer) before TYD updated its status to in transport to the dealer. So TYD definitely lags with its updates. It took 2 days from arrival in Jacksonville to leaving the port - that was early February.

As for the monroney sticker, unfortunately I don't remember where I found it, but I did manage download it from somewhere on the Porsche site. Interestingly, the sticker did not include the P4S option (Innodrive). I don't care as it appears to be enabled in the car, and it's an FOD option so purchasable after delivery anyways, so wouldn't surprise the next owner if it was not on the original sticker.

EDIT: found where it is, under the details page of your car on My Porsche (assuming you have the VIN added to your account), looks like this:
Porsche Taycan Scheduled Deliveries For March 2023 - Post Yours 1679469822538

Same section towards the bottom as shopping for tires, etc.

mine was produced in the week of 28th february till 03March but was finished without the heater. received a call that this is solved and that it was loaded on the truck yesterday and on its way to Belgium. Agreed on a delivery date after Easter holidays as we are gone anyway. So hopefully more good news for others.

Now THIS is why I drive myself crazy reading forums. Thank you!!! You’d think there wasn’t any corner left of the site I’d yet to explore. I just quit going to that page because I’ve been waiting to set up all the connect stuff until I was sure it was en route to the dealer. I would have not found that on my own at this point without you. ?

Yay!! Something new to read! And yeah, I know the TYD can definitely be delayed to update, that’s why I alternate between checking there and for an email from my SA. So was the sticker here the whole time?? As soon as it was built? Or is it a sign it will be released from the port soon?

Another fun fact. I setup my services the prior month before delivery as per reasons discussed in other threads. So I thought I lost a month of free charging (no big deal). When I went looking for the window sticker, I noticed all my expiry date have been adjusted to the date the car arrived at the dealer. I don’t know when that adjustment happened, though I know it wasn’t for at least a couple of weeks.

We're a half hour drive from the nearest EA charger, so I doubt we'll benefit much from the included charging. We don't often visit either of the areas where the chargers are installed.

I got a notification this morning that our Taycan is enroute to the dealer. That seems to indicate that ours is not one of the "certain Taycan vehicles", that "may be delayed".

I know I wouldn’t care if I lost a month or two of EA or whatever music trial, I just tried to slow myself down after putting in the VIN last month in case I messed something up or there was an even bigger delay.

My sticker shows printed March 20 at around 10am… Batch 77/171. So I know the ship berthed March 18, TYD updated on the 20th to show the 19th for port arrival.

So does anyone who DOES have a delayed car also have the Monroney sticker?
And I see @irrelevant posted! Wowee!! This could actually be happening.

BTW, how screwed am I if I don’t have my EVSE installed? Guy can’t come til 4/24th ?‍♀

I can't find the Monroney sticker for our build.

How close are you to your nearest EA charger Annie? Have you downloaded Plugshare yet? If not, I'd recommend doing that, then searching near your home/work for charging options. Some libraries have Level 2 chargers available free to the public. (I hate the EV-world terms Level 1/Level 2...let's dumb everything down by making up new terms for existing things).

Do you have an electric clothes dryer?

IMO there's no point plugging into a 120v outlet.

Unfortunately, the EA chargers aren’t prolific around here. There’s one at least 20 minutes away. Maybe the dealership will let me use theirs? ?. It’s not like I don’t live in EV universe over here, and I know there’s a bunch at my local gas station, so I can make due. I’m pretty sure the dryer is plugged into a 240v and is adjacent to the garage, so maybe we can create some comedy of errors that will make the kids come home from school and go… “Uhhh I didn’t know mommy’s car was gonna need to charge in the mud room… where do I put my shoes?”

Well at least I have the sticker for the loan officer now! And congrats, man!! Can’t wait to see your pics!

I just searched the Detroit area on Google Earth, and it only shows one EA location, in Ypsilanti. You could stop there on your way to/from Zingerman's. ;)

I hesitate to suggest purchasing a heavy-duty extension cord with appropriate connections, because as soon as I do, the internet police will come charging in with the "you'll burn your house down" pitchforks. That said, I wouldn't personally have an issue using a good-quality, appropriately rated extension cable if I needed to.

No celebrations allowed here yet. IDK if we'll go visit the dealer this weekend or not to visit the car. With the PPF/ceramic installations, coordinating out schedules for a pickup probably won't happen now until the first week of April. This weekend was our last window of opportunity, but my wife pointed out if we don't do the PPF/ceramic before delivery, the odds it will ever be done is pretty close to zero.

Yep, Ypsi. And I'm in NW Ann Arbor. It's a bummer that EA isn't big here (yet?) but I planned on mostly home charging anyway and figured I'm resourceful enough to make do in a pinch.
And speaking of electric police... Since we knew there would be at least a week delay we ended up keeping the appointment for the 2nd electrician estimate which was yesterday. This guy wouldn't even install my Juicebox 40 without a hardwire. Said... yep, I'll burn my house down. I have a good EVSE, NEMA 14-50, pretty straightforward wiring path with or without a new second panel (which we considered). But this guy said we'd have to sign a big waiver and warned us that it will soon be "against the law" not to hard wire, and he wants to do 60A. My husband and I both went down the research rabbit holes once again and I started tallying up the cost, wait time, AND hassle of returning my Juicebox, getting a 48A (because might as well) or Chargepoint 50A, and then just said F- it. Call the first guy, who everyone around here uses, schedule it and be done. I can't deal with someone who is driven more by CYA than what is most appropriate for a responsible and informed customer.

It also kind of pissed me off that when we first called to make the appointment they immediately assumed we were getting a Tesla and asked if we had the Tesla charger thing ready etc. When we told them it's not a Tesla they were very confused, and then said they've never heard of a Taycan.

I actually have an appointment for Honda service for a recall on Friday, which is right next to Porsche. I just might take a snoop around... my car, if there, shouldn't be hard to spot! Good to hear you're staying positive as well as busy! Enjoy:)
