Porsche server down? Taycan no longer communicating via app?

Hi All,

Has anyone else seen their Taycan not communicating via the app (usually there is a sleeping, green or red light) to show charge, location and to preheat.

I see a picture of the car but just no indicator of communicating and “Remote Services not available”

Is the Porsche server down? Or has the built in SIM card failed in the car?

It’s been down for a couple of days now from my side;
No connected apps (Apple, traffic, internet radio, etc)
No connection with car through myporsche
No LTE signal from onboard e-sim

PCNA are aware and say it should be resolved….

There is another thread on the go about it somewhere.

Iirc someone said on that thread that it's server maintenance issues ending today (Wed).

Had the very same last weekend and into Monday. It then all started working fine again.

Maybe they are doing 'whatever it is' by VIN or something? Hopefully yours will be back up and running ok shortly.

It will come.back to life.

Seever maintenance likely.cause rather than a fault with the car.

I had it for around 2 days earlier this week (new car) and working fine now.

My friend who had this issue and was told it would be repaired by today has now had serious issues. He also has vehicle tracking and now his car won’t start. He has plenty of power but effectively the car is immobilised.

vodaphone are blaming Porsche and vice versa but meanwhile his car is stuck at his workplace waiting to be lifted tomorrow. Porsche assistance told him they have had a few today with same issue and all of them had same issue….server and tracking. Those who are having issues do you have tracking enabled?

PVTS is built into the PCM.

Porsche issue and not Vodafone imho

Porsche East London contacted my friend and told him it isn't affecting only Taycan's...it is also affecting ICE cars with PVTS

I have had no problems. Maybe slight delay (longer than normal) to connect but all good otherwise.

My friend car however won’t start and had to be craned off his driveway to then be taken to Porsche east London

they told him they are aware of the situation but currently no fix

Red notice on Thu saying things had been updated and to log in again.

For me - My app was still locked after the Wednesday lunchtime deadline for the servers back-on-line that I was given on Sunday - So after a couple of hours, I called the tracker-security number yet again - and they repeated their previous reset instruction - and it worked immediately ..... if I had not called them - I guess they would have assumed they had successfully cleared the theft log already - which they hadn't.... and my app would still be down. To be clear, it appears to me that the tracker-security people have to repeat a reset after the server is back up - and their instructions beforehand are lost. Just guessing.
