High pitched noise low speed - light acceleration or light braking

I have been experiencing this very annoying sound. Once you notice the sound it gets entrenched in eternal annoyance . It happens when driving at low speeds under light acceleration or light regen braking between speeds of 15-35kmph. The Porsche tech in my country “can’t hear it” so I’ve shared this video with them as well, but wanted a crowd sourced diagnosis in case the techs say it’s “normal” and I have to escalate this matter with Porsche MIDDLE EAST. I’ve managed to take a video of the issue. You may need to turn up the volume, it’s a high pitched sound when the car is moving.

Does it only happen when driving in a tight curve as in your video? If so, it could be the Ackerman effect (tire tread slipping against the pavement).

No this happens in the straights as well , I have the video for that but it was too long to upload. It’s not the Ackerman effect for sure. The noise is induced only under input from brake or accelerator pedal, i think it might be the motor or inverter

this happens during light acceleration as well. And the brake aren’t used during this range of speed, the noise starts after 15kmph and stops before 35kmph, it could be happening at higher speeds as well but the road noise is louder at those speeds

I have the same noise at low speeds. Its the rear rotors per Porsche technician. Getting them replaced in a week or two.

Mine does the same thing. It just might be the E motor/battery/electrical system doing its thing. I don't think it's a cause for concern, but if your regional Porsche says otherwise please let me know!

I get the same too and I raised this with Porsche and got them to hear (and acknowledge it). He stated it was normal and yes some sort of rub with the brakes that they say is "normal". He recommended that, if it was getting to me, to drive at a reasonable speed and to slam on the brakes so hard that the hazard indicators automatically come on (obviously in a safe place and away from any traffic or obstacles), to heat the mechanism up. He said that should cure it for a while.

I've not tried it.

UAE-based Taycan owner here and I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had this since I first got the car but I've been ignoring it, and it's only really noticable when the windows are down. This is my first EV so I don't really know what sounds normal and what doesn't, and after almost a year of ownership I've had zero issues with my car, so ?

I hear this noise too, only at low speeds with the window down. Any updates here from y’all? I can live with it, my windows are usually always up but still it bothers me knowing the car is making that sound

I've got this noise too exactly as described. Present during low speed slow acceleration and Regen breaking.

Anyone able to get it addressed?

Soooo.... mine does the same sound at low speed, between 15km and 30km, accelerating & braking. Anyone had any news from Porsche ? My question: Is this normal or not? I got the car in February so i've always driving with the windows down... until a couple of days ago where I noticed that noise when driving with my windows open. Even my wife noticed the noise without me mentioning it.
