I am wondering how well the Taycan will age. And how long it is expected to last without too much fundamental problems.
Anybody having a Taycan with very high mileage on it that can share his/her experience ?

Well, I got one up to 28.5K miles.

The windshield had so many speckles it needed replacement.
A few rock chips through the PPF.
Some abrasions to the underside plastics.

Drove like new!

I am nearing 40k, it had 26k when I bought it. Got a new windshield through cpo due to a chip, as DerekS noted the one that was replaced had tons of speckles which i thought was strange.. charge still holds well and imo drives like new…. If my kids would stop breaking the seat control on the passenger side that would be great as that part is A. Shit design, and B. Expensive to replace whole unit.

I think for some reason the Taycan’s design just picks up a lot of windshield rock chips. There’s been a lot of rain and some road construction in my area, but still have gotten quite a few in only 4k miles

CPO covers rock chips? You didn't have to go through insurance?

They found it in cpo review/check list.
They tried to fill it initially, but it cracked beyond that….We had a little back and forth but they replaced it. Which in my opinion was fair since a windshield is something that would impact price if you know you have to replace it. Maybe I just lucked though and that isn’t normal.

the next week I got a chip in it again!! That one I got got filled via the protection plan. Such is life. I have a renewed dislike or semi trucks and their love with throwing rocks at my car..

Just a quick note that all this recent acceleration in depreciation is messing with my mind; I have a cheap lease rate (1.9%) which was too good to pass on, and which provides a floor minimum value on the car at term (3Y) of (from memory) 58%.

I like to think of this floor value as protection on the car, an option for me to purchase it then if market value is higher than the residual value. And if the market value tanks I can "abandon" the car.

The floor value holds only if I stay within the 20k kms per annum limit, and the penalty for over mileage is ~$0.5/km!

Given all the recent volatility in depreciation, I have reined in my driving which however in the 25-30k kms per year, I think that floor value may come in handy

Just bumping this old thread.

Any high milers - and who has the highest mileage here?

And what issues are the high milers encountering?

54k miles, 2021 CT 4S. In terms of how the car has aged, I've not noticed any degradation in performance or range and it still handles as sweetly as new. Cabin is bearing up really well. Only gripe is windscreen pitting and micro-stratching as other posters have commented. Bonnet is also decimated by stone chips!

I have however suffered a slew of issues (stuck cabin heating servos, cooling fan failure/replacement (the ones at the front wheel arches), electric window regulators failed, HV heater failure, 22kw charger failure) but all appear common faults and none are mileage related.

Porsche assurance helps quite a lot with all those typical issues. Here in Europe it is really fast (if Parts are available).

Pretty much the same here. 48k miles in a 2021 CT4S. Raft of warranty jobs, some inconsequential and some downright aggravating and only mitigated by the great team at my local OPC. Cabin is spotless aside from the bolster on my seat which is a little careworn due to my hefting my self in and out of the car repeatedly. For me, the telling point is that, despite the warranty issues, I’m going to go again, although it might well be a Macan next round (that and trying to talk myself out of a Spyder RS on a daily basis)!

40k miles/4 years Turbo.
90% battery state of health.
I had my share of problems with it (but I don't think these were mileage related). At some point I wanted to hand the car back to Porsche in exchange for another one - they had a few "cheap" pre-registered ones, but on contrast my higher-specced 35k-mile then Turbo was driving much better than the 4s and RWD taycans I tried. Once I had a brand new Turbl loaner, and it was absolutely identical to my old car (if not slightly noisier because it didn't have acoustic glass).

So my verdict - whilst they keep braking all the time - these cars age well. Maybe this constant braking helps as you gradually renovate the car with new parts :)

44K miles on a 2020 Taycan 4S. Bought CPO a year ago, had just a couple minor recall fixes and now it's in for the battery issues...should be a few more weeks and we'll see if it's just cells replaced or the whole thing. Kinda hoping for the whole thing, but damn we miss not having it to drive! The Macan 4 EV is definitely fun as a backup, but the Taycan always wins.

PPF on the entire car (had a couple tiny rock chips before we wrapped it) but generally looks like new inside and out.

Just passed 45k in 3 years with zero issues. I've scratched up the front underbody protection, had my rims repaired twice and been through 3 sets of tires but otherwise it has been perfect. The PPF has some wear but I'm pleased it is there to take the damage. Most pleasingly I still get the same mileage under the same conditions so zero battery degradation under real conditions.

I'v been so assured my my experience so far that I have a Macan 4S EV on order for my wife as we donate her car to the oldest kid. Fingers crossed I get another solid build.
