Yep you've lost connectivity. The two horizontal lines with a diagonal line through them! That should normally say LTE or 4G.
I've tried 2 finger reset, 12v battery reset but nothing fixes it.

First time it happened was at New Year but car was only 2 weeks old so I put it down to something updating or the fact I was on the north Norfolk coast so maybe poor signal.
Then on 16th April I lost connectivity for 24 hours. Spoke to Porsche Connected Services and they could see the sim was connected but no data. Said would need a visit to OPC. It came back after 24 hours.
Then on 23rd April it went again so contacted PRG Reading and first appointment was at Guildford for next Thursday but it came back on yesterday! I may keep the appointment to have them run diagnostic checks on the ComBox and OTA control unit. From other threads these tend to get replaced when LTE connection is lost.

Disappointingly, I have concluded that ChargeAnytime isn’t really ready for prime time when used with the Porsche software stack. However, it is better than nothing. I am sure it would work much better with one of the supported EVSEs rather than directly with the car. Just don’t expect to get the 10p rate; it will cost more than that though much less than the standard rate.

When used with the Porsche software stack, I have observed these issues:
  1. standard tariff used when Porsche servers unavailable;
  2. enode profile used when Porsche servers inaccessible to car;
  3. when initially plugged in, about 1KWh seems to be sent to the battery at standard tariff;
  4. when car is left connected to charger for more than 24 hrs, about 1KWh at standard tariff is added during most 24hrs periods causing the SoC to steadily increase above the set maximum;
  5. State of Charge delta is used to calculate rebate, so cable, EVSE and charger losses are ignored.
I am still trying to establish the best way to use ChargeAnytime. So far, I have learned that the car should not be left plugged in once charged. Also, checking car connectivity to Porsche servers before plugging in seems like a good idea.

Yes I'm sure it works better via a compatible evse.
As soon as I plug in I open the Charge Anytime App to get it to refresh and notice the car is plugged in. This reduces the charge sent to car at full rate to just a few seconds.
Overall it is still good value and doesn't seem worth buying a compatible evse for the few nights charging missed.

Its worked fine with my really old dumb wall charger. I just assumed the short initial charge when plugging in was to establish the speed of the connection so that it could accurately work out when to charge to get to your desired SOC at desired time ie it does not assume you are using the same charge rate all of the time. My wall charger charges at 7Kw but I wanted to test me 3 pin charger worked so I tried that and the short initial charge identified the slower charge rate and set a charge profile accordingly.

So, still missing this morning. Tried the 2 finger reset thing and not back.

So my options are hope it comes back or book into dealer now?

Any other checks to do? Signal strength says ok on Vodafone.

I would get it booked in given the long lead in time to get appointments. You can always cancel if it comes back quickly. Which is your local OPC?

Yes, sounds a good plan. Colchester. Not sure they would see it as a priority? Does LTE serve other purposes that impact the car?

It is required for PVTS, traffic info on map, Spotify etc. Lack of tracker is what I used to get a reasonably quick appointment albeit at Guildford rather than Reading

Well 48 hours later LTE just re appeared, rather annoyingly after I’d just charged at full peak rate! Booked in with Porsche for 5 weeks time as earliest appointment ( tracker argument didn’t seem to wash) Technician over phone went through logging in/out app, checking SIM card and started by saying server issue but when I pushed him to confirm this backed away for this theory as could quantify it, so booked it in for comms issue.

Just pleased it’s back, and hopefully stays.

Good you have LTE back.
I spoke to PRG Guildford today as mine was booked in for tomorrow but as it regained connectivity after 6 days I wanted to speak to someone who knew about Taycans.
Ended up cancelling as they confirmed that car does not store comms faults so diagnostics wouldn't show anything unless it failed before or during testing. They confirmed they had replaced a few OTA control units but on earlier model years. As mine is MY2023 I have the latest version of OTA unit and Comms Box. They think it may be backend issues as Porsche are making lots of changes at the moment but unable to confirm for sure. I now have a new booking pencilled in at Reading for 26th just in case it fails again. Also Guildford said to call them if it fails and they will see if they can get md straight in.

Mines a Dec 2020 so falls into the early category, and will keep appointment and see how we get on. Guy i spoke to said he had replaced a few but no real common denominator.

One thing that did get me thinking though as I was explaining to the tech guy I needed the lte to access my OVO charge anytime rate, (that he hadn’t heard of) and I explained how the app/ lte allow access to the car to control charge ( wild internet conspiracy in-coming) but could the increased amount of activity on the charging stop/ start side have highlighted an issue with LTE and cause failure? 2.5 years an no issue with LTE having never used Porsche timers and just kept the car dumb, and just used timer on podpoint to charge for 4 hours a night). 1 week using charge anytime and LTE fails? I did ponder if I’d just never noticed If it went down, but I always use DAB radio and you lose the pictures when LTE goes down and I’ve never seen this before so think I’d of noticed an LTE issue, and also access the app regularly . Or just coincidence?

Upgraded Smart meter went in today (a week ahead of schedule) Well done OVO.
Was able to immediately apply for the Charge Anytime upgrade. Downloaded the app as instructed. Followed the setup instructions. Few issues connecting with My Porsche Connect account but stuck with it and eventually connected. Car is currently on a scheduled charge.

Was initially told that following the meter swap, it can take up to 6 weeks for the account to update and the Charge Anytime Upgrade be available. Glad this wasn't the case. Hopefully by 6am tomorrow I'll be at 85%, mostly at 10p p/kWH

Good to hear Matt!
I find it works really well, only issue is of Porsche servers are down or car looses it's LTE connection. So far I've been saving around £70/month.

Guys what is the best way to defeat the Anytime App schedule so as I can use incoming solar PV install when available? Delete the enode profile in the Porsche app or set it to immediate charging on the Anytime app? My Hypervolt will supply the export pv as available. There is a risk that I pay OVO for my generation too if they see it going to teh car which is why they don't want people with PV to have it yet. Cheers
