I think I'm going to ask for a ransom pic as well as Octopus placed my order with a dealership 2 hours away.

I want proof of life.
Proof of life confirmed.

It was signed off last night but the dealer is waiting for Porsche to sign off registration. Might be ready Mon, but I'm playing it safe and arranged to pickup on Tues.

You were one of the unlucky ones. My lesson was to call around lots of dealers until you find one with a cancelation slot. I ordered mine 2 months before it was built this way!
That is the lesson I have learnt. Next Time …….

Ha, ha. That is what I did. It still took 20 months from first dealer deposit to delivery. Spoke with more dealers than I can remember, calling for over a year until I finally found an allocation. In that time prices went up, tax incentives went away, my trade-in value dropped 40%. Such is life. ?‍♂

Lesson learned, if you don’t have significant patience and determination, don't set your sites on buying a custom order Porsche, or you will be miserable for a long time.

It’s certainly not a good buying experience is it? A guy I met at PEC said he has had Porsches for his whole life but always buys used to avoid the pain

I also had the dreaded Stop Sale on an Ice Grey GTS Sports Tourismo, was supposed to collect it this coming Friday. Dealer is unable to share any details at this stage.

I sold my Cayenne Coupe yesterday in anticipation of picking up the Taycan, so now carless - hopefully this is resolved quickly!
Confirmation from my dealer that the stop is 50 days from installation of the high voltage battery.

apparently my build was completed mid April, so hoping to get m car released in the next week or so.

I hit 50 days on Saturday and it moved to Code 8 today. Hoping it’s only a day or so away from delivery now

Do we know if there was a certain period when the stop sell applied? Like cars build between certain dates? Presumably it must have been fixed for any cars built shortly after they discovered the stop sell?

I was finally hoping to pick up my Taycan GTS (PP52ZW18) this weekend from Wolverhampton Porsche, but I got a call today saying that a new "stop sell" had come in from Porsche, which means they can't release my car for a few weeks or so. Apparently, someone was in the showroom yesterday to pick up theirs and wasn't allowed to drive it away.

Does anyone have details? The salesperson said it's probably a software update and he'll have more details next week.

I can tell you that my car, exited the factory on April 23rd and no stop sale was placed. I picked it up May 15th. First post about stop sales was May 17th affecting cars produced before mine. However I've seen reports about stop sales on cars produced after my date. Really weird.

Mine moved to code 8 on 1st June after being built very early April. Still waiting release, and now car-less having had the old one collected. Couldn't wait any longer without incurring costs.

It'd be interesting to see the phrasing of the stop-sale order in German; I always assumed this was actually a 'coolant ingress' issue - not 'water'. They must have discovered cars with the failure, or re-examined the production audit logs to find that a subpar adhesive and/or procedure was used during manufacturing of specific units. I'm thinking the latter (procedure) since it was immediately detected, or otherwise one would expect a recall for cars already released.

4S stuck in Grimsby was in production around May 19th (received pics 20th May). Dealer called last week as was due for delivery to dealership June 2nd, no info apart from Stop. Ordered Feb22! I learn so much more from this thread and very little from any dealer.

Glad to have joined this forum. So much decent info and more then you get from the dealerships.

My car completed 12 April, left the factory 13 April and I have been told it’s at Emden since. However last week learnt it was taken to a holding area and only arrived at Emden on 25 May. 42 days for an unconfirmed reason. Comments were possibly waiting on components for a recall, or completion or quality check etc. The timeframe ties with the 50 day comments. So when will I have it, hopefully by the end of June. If I hear anything else, I’ll let you know. As good as the dealership has been, the lack of open/honest feedback is disappointing. Personally I don’t think the sales managers know the reasoning behind the current issues.

The sales manager said we need the numbers for June. Interesting comment considering how busy they are. Also noted a lot of new Taycans available on the Porsche website. Cancelled orders I guess?

I agree it is unlikely to be rainwater ingress given the test condition but a possible coolant leak, which may be slow, fits the scenario we hear about well.
