Can the Taycan be set to charge at a specific power level like Tesla?
For example, if the charging station can deliver 11 kW power, but I only want to charge at 6 kW.

Because I've tried to use the 220v/80a AC charger at public charging station, it provide 17Kw per hour with J1772 connector.
But the charging process will failed/disconnect within 10mins, only 3-4Kw has charged into my Taycan. (RWD, MY23)

I checked my vehicle equipment in My Porsche, and I'm sure MY23 Taycan has already equip with 22 kW AC onboard converter.
So I'm trying to reduce the charging power from my Taycan when charging with high power AC charging station to avoid failed.

I haven’t found a way to do this on the Taycan. You are right, it is handy occasionally on a Tesla: another use case is when you want charging to take *longer* (eg you are parked in a street charging space where you will be fined if not charging, and won’t be back at your car in time - obviously only where there are available spaces for other users of course).

I haven't found a way to do this on the car side, either. But I can set my home charger (by app) to deliver less than full amperage. I have never used the mobile charger unit that came with the car, but if my memory works then there is a way to set it to deliver half amperage (at least with European units).

For DC charging there is a car-side setting to lower the charging curve a bit to be somewhat more kind to the battery, but I don't think that is what you are looking for?

there is no way to do this via the Taycan's in vehicle software - I have requested this ability from Dealer Service and a letter to Porsche - no progress on this request to date.

Yes we can set the charger at home to deliver less power to Taycan, I always set around 10-20A to the charger to charge all the night.

To me DC = Fast charging, so as fast as possible to charge to 100%.

To be honest, I don't think Porsche will address this issue with an update. haha
Because they are PORSCHE!

agreed - I'm not holding my breath - but I do miss this feature from my Tesla days.
