Oh dear…! And there’s me thinking perhaps deliveries will speed up based on the ceo’s speech of waiting no longer than 6-9 months for a new taycan… definitely get the impression lease orders are not a priority… since I placed my order our car park has a few etron gt’s, i4 M50’s, a few q8 etrons. No dramas just ordered and delivered…no stop notices, nothing stuck at emden. Clearly we are suckers for punishment. I was going to check in with Lex mid august so I’ll provide feedback following that.

Yeah its disheartening to the point I started looking at what else is out there... and realised its the taycan or nothing ?

I did ask Lex prior to going to the dealer and they had no more information... just mentioned that they've not seen any MY24 allocations yet and to be aware that the quote will go up once there's an allocation. I did question if that also meant having to swallow a new finance rate given I'd assume it was significantly higher than when the order was placed. They said to email in and see if they can keep the rate at the same level as when the order was place... didn't fill me with confidence.

Back to Cambridge.. looks like Steven no longer works there and it was his boss Scott who got back to my email.. also suggested that variants like the Sports Turismo and turbos better timelines as there was less demand compared to the 4S... did prod to see what that actually was and if there were options to pivot so will report back. I've assumed it would be a new order if changing model which would mean back of the queue (Lex website suggesting Dec 2024 for all Tacyans) and also the higher costs...

looks like its the waiting game here...

I Ordered a GTS through Tusker in Dec 22, expect delivery March 24.
It won't now be Mamba green though sadly...

to follow up on this Cambridge have said the the RWD is an even longer wait than the 4S whereas the Sports Turismo (RWD) is a "much shorter" lead time... though if I were to pivot an order to one, it would ultimately be around the same time I'd get my current 4S order.

so looks like a RWD ST (if that floats your boat) would be the best best to get one sooner through Cambridge.

looking at the tracker, they (Cambridge) seem to have 50% of all the orders tracked there.. which is exacerbating the wait as I assume their allocations won't be growing inline with their order book

We are at a point where due to the waiting time if ordered now the car would arrive after Government announced increases in BiK and EVs subject to road tax which one can expect Labour to at least honour if not increase. Think the magic window is closing. BiK > 10% ceases to be a benefit and becomes a cost.

How despressing!

It's not like I can think of any other car that comes close in terms of looks, build quality or performance!

When I see an eTron GT I just think it looks like a fat A5 that looks really boring!

?

Totally! hardly seeing any around… or maybe I’m just not distinguishing them easily. Though according to the Lex lead times you could get RS by Oct this year and a little cheaper than my spec’d 4S.

but no, it’s the taycan or bust

Snap… I reckon we must be blocking each other in!!
Spoke to Lex last week who in turn queried Porsche - just got told it’s under additional quality control and can’t offer any revised dates as yet. At least our cars have each other to talk to ?
Do you have any further updates? None here unfortunately and 8 weeks at Emden and counting!:(

Nope, still nothing - apparently I have a revised estimated delivery of mid July, but not based on any movement. The car remains at port with no details of why, or when it will move.
I honestly think our cars must’ve been completed same day and have exactly the same challenges. It’s so poor

Exactly the same here, no answers to my questions on the actual reason for the delay. The lack of any meaningful communication is truly shocking. I think your build completed a few days before mine but we are facing the same issue. Cars completed after ours are being delivered. The date is just a placeholder I guess. Hoping we don’t challenge @f1eng ’s record for longest delay post build completion!

I ordered my Taycan using a Lease company (salary sacrifice scheme)... which means I do not get any updates from the dealership. The only information on my order can be obtained from the leasing company... and they are quite poor at communication.

Lat week, I managed to get my VIN number, sent a request to Porsche to attach the VIN to MyPorsche app (along with paperwork from the lease company).

... and I was able to see my car in the MyPorsche app as well on the website.

The status of the car was showing as Stage 4/5 (manufactured, please wait for delivery).

I also managed to see production pictures of the car.

2 days back, the status has now changed to the screenshot below...

IMG_21B48BAA17C9-1.webp

I can understand that it is showing No Remote Access (as it would need to be enabled in the PCM).
It is also showing a Green Dot (meaning communication with the car is active).

My questions…. And the reason for the post:

1) Does this mean car has arrived at the dealership and is ready for delivery?
2) Or can this screen/ status also be seen in MyPorsche while the car is in transportation and awaiting delivery.

Anyone help interpret what it means....

That feels a bit more positive!

Looking like a total wait time of 15 months! Maybe the delays are dealer specific? Cambridge seems to have around half of our orders (12 0f 25) - maybe they are overloaded?

I'm not sure if allocations go up in line with volume?

Means the car is heartbeating with Porsche servers. Could be on the back of a truck. Mine started to "beat" the moment it left the factory.
