Starting the August delivery thread because it's about that time.

My wife's April build/May delivery Taycan 4CT is scheduled to complete production today and is scheduled to be at the dealer August 7th. Surely after taking a full sixty four days (so far) to actually build the car, Porsche won't miss any more estimated dates. Of course if it's delayed even one more day it will have the distinction of being produced across four different months, so we've got that going for us.

I'd understand the production delay if we'd ordered it in Neptune Blue over Signal Yellow like my avatar, but it's a simple Gentian blue.

Here's hoping everyone's August estimated dates turn into August deliveries!

considering the shipping backlog in Emden and the limited RO/RO ships, this looks more like September 2023 at the moment if not October 2023.

I sent an email to PCNA a week or so ago and I got a response today with after investigating they've determined that "[Porsche is] performing additional quality checks."

I expected a platitudinous response like that. At least they've admitted I ordered a car and it's showing up later than it was supposed to.

Mine manufacturing process completed on 5/6, then it said on way to Emden 5/9, and for a long period of time, it showed reached Emden on 5/10 the very next day, with expected departure on 7/5. Now a couple of weeks back, the date when it reached Emden changed from 5/10 to 6/14, and the date to leave port became 7/13, and hence the overall delivery shifted from beginning August to now 8/12. My car is to reach Raleigh, North Carolina, on east coast of USA.

Hope it happens. It's weird to see how a date of when car is in the port can change from 5/10 to 6/14. Wife is quite disappointed in the wait.

Apparently Porsche is going for a record on build time. Perhaps one individual is hand building our Taycan.

Forgive me if you already stated this, but is there anything unusual in your build? For example, deviated stitching in florescent green, club leather, or PTS.

My understanding is that Porsche locks down the electronics early. I am curious for my own (probably over-speced) GTS ST that has delays added to what was originally an expected *June* delivery.

My understanding is that Porsche locks down the electronics early. I am curious for my own (probably over-speced) GTS ST that has delays--not yet as bad as yours.

Standard interior. No customizations or personalization. It's a Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, Gentian blue, so common as dirt, it has both the premium and technology package plus rear wheel steering and the night vision camera. This is to be my wife's daily driver and an occasional road trip car, so it's set up as more of an executive sedan than race car.

According to the screenshot from the SA, the car finished production on May 12, but sometime after that was kicked back to in production status. Best guess is that they finished the car, but it failed final inspection and whatever is wrong with it they haven't been able to fix it.

It is encouraging me to write a very long checklist for inspection on delivery. I will be looking through every nook and cranny to figure out what's wrong with the car.

I'm trying to maintain a cool head, but this has really become aggravating and I no longer trust the word of any Porsche employee.

I should add, this fault in build does seem to be specific to the car we ordered. The Porsche Black Hole of Communication®️™️ applies to everyone though.

Forgive me for asking, why are you trying to keep a cool head? Did your SA provide you with a guaranteed delivery date? Mine hasn‘t and would like to pressure test him. ?

Sadly I slipped from July to August. Waiting in Emden for a ride to Houston, and hope I make it on the Sunshine Ace, due to arrive Emden July 16.

In progress with my GTS build ending in 4 days... No clue if it'll be August as planned or September. I may need to consider October.
