Where are the pics?

I was going to go this forum this morning and write one of my first stories or posts but seeing this thread was just started on Friday I didn't want to step on it.

I just came across the face lifted Taycan yesterday near my house in Southern CA. It was the usual standard black with the covered or masked front corners. The Taycan and it's two chase vehicles, one was a Macan and the other a 911, pulled up next to me at an EVGO station. There were about 6 or 7 German engineers in total between the 3 cars. Things I noted that were different were the shape of the two front qtr panels where instead of the smooth rounded arch the current models have this one had the more angular edges. Interestingly enough the test Engineers weren't even aware of that change until I pointed it out. I'm not fan of the new shape and interestingly they weren't either :). It also looked like the rear light bar area was a little different but I could be wrong on that. It was all blacked out so tough to say. The vehicle had Georgia plates. I asked where they've been and he said everywhere in the U.S. It appears they're testing this same car all over the country in different climates, conditions etc.

I asked them, "So, what exactly am I looking at"? They were of course being a bit coy about exactly what the vehicle was ( a new model, a refresh etc ) and said they can get in trouble if they say too much. The same with pictures. I asked if I could take some but same answer. I obviously could have because they're in a public place but I chose to respect their wishes. These guys were super friendly and chatty about the Taycans, mine included, so I really had no interest in giving them grief with their management about more spy photos. We've all seen the car anyway so it's not exactly ground breaking news.

During my conversation I asked again when I might see something like this on the road. One Engineer replied with, "Well, when did the the first model come out?" I said 2020. He said, "Right so these things usually take about 5 to 6 years." Said with a bit of a wink. Soooooooo...... take that from what you may but it appears to be on track for a 2025 or 2026 release.

Did you read my post? ?
Pictures get those guys in trouble and they were very nice gents and a pleasure to speak with. No motivation to possibly get them jammed up for pics of a car that has already been posted here and other sites/articles.

So bigger battery will provide more range presumably along with more weight - 300kw charging is meaningless. I had a lucid air with 300kw charging and never got more than 260kw at DC chargers and frequently got less then 170k. . Also my Taycan has 270kw charging and likewise almost never get near that number so for me the idea of faster charging is a pipe dream based on the network. 200 kw charging that was reliable would be incredible and the current taycans already have that capacity.

I noticed if navigating to the charger, warming the battery, at low SoC 270 kW was possible.
