I have curbed the wheel and Option A is to jack up the car on my own, remove the wheel, and take it for repair, then I have to take it to PPF shop to ceramic coat it, and then bring it home to put it back. Option B is my PPF shop would lift, remove, but then they have to keep it for what should be 2 days but afraid more, before I can bring the wheel back, before they coat it and put it back, they are very nice, but I know this is an inconvenience for them. The dealer, Opton C, simply refused to help lift, remove the wheel, and keep the car until the wheel is repaired unless it is outside without the wheel. They also do not have a wheel for me to use temporarily, but I just asked parts if they have a jack to borrow or sell like the one below with only sketch graphic of it available, wonder if anyone actually has it and can share a picture of what it looks like with all parts needed to operate it.

My issue is that while SUVs come with spare tires and compatible jacks, Taycan does not, I wonder if anyone else can point me may be to an Amazon jack with compatible pads that I can just lift one side to remove one wheel and keep it standing like this for a few days until I can get the wheel back.

Also, if anyone who attempted this, can tell me direct, that doing it yourself is a bad idea, then I will go with the PPF shop Option B.

any pad that supports panamera would do, and apparently BMW pads are fine as well but I dont have personal experience. Ebay is full of them, I even found a local spare parts dealer with suitabie pads on stock.

For the jack itself I have used a normal floorjack, be sure to have one that goes low enough because the pad will add some height to it, as well as to use lift mode if you have air suspension specced.

I have got the pad from Powerflex. It’s a perfect fit.

I am going for Option A. Dealer ordered me OEM jack, as in the picture, so I will share if it works, when it arrives. $200 is certainly much more than a standard jack with pads but I cannot take any chances doing it myself with Taycan being so heavy and using non-OEM equipment. My worry now, can I leave it on the jack for what would be 3 days. I would lift it up to get the tire off then lower it to level out, and then leave it like this until the tire is repaired and coated for me to put it back. I also ordered a torque wrench to tighten up the bolts to spec. Dealer said they can check alignment for $150, but if it is out of alignment, actually performing one will be probably in the $800 range since I have air suspension and rear wheel steer so as soon as they see that, the price goes up to whatever level.

The OEM jack is probably the most dangerous thing you can use to lift your car. Buy a decent floor jack and any of the jack pads listed above. Also buy some wheel hangers. Harbor freight has decent hangers for $20.

A regular floor jack, and don't even need the super special pads will be fine. I changed my tires from summer to winter several times now and have never had a problem. At the end of the day these are still just cars like a regular camry. Lift the car where it says on the jack point, take the wheel off, and put it back on and use the torque wrench to get it tighted up and go about your merry way.

Paying $200 for an OEM roadside jack is wild.

The picture looks like It might be one of those cheapie emergency tire changing jacks like you used to get hidden under the trunk liner of old cars. Super dangerous even with 2700 lb Hondas of the 80’s, let alone a Taycan twice that weight. If that’s what it is, return it immediately since it‘s hazardous and not worth more than a few dollars.

I have used heavy duty floor jacks to change my winter wheels for several years. Works very well and is safe, much safer than that thing of ancient piece the dealer suggested.

If you want to be really careful for your wheels though, I would recommend you buy two of these guide pins. They help You to get the wheel clear of the discs.

Dude DO NOT leave your car on the OEM jack up for 3 days!!! Get a set of jack stands to lower the car onto. Not saying the jack is WILL fail, but that's really tempting fate there for an extremely expensive repair bill!!!

Could you recommend a jack stand that will work. I see many kinds, too many to choose from.

I have one that came with the Macan. I may have a second one that came with the Cayenne. This is a good point to use them. I assume you use them before you remove the wheel and after.

Yes I take out two wheel bolts and replace them with the Guide pin. Then you just slide the wheel and tyre off. And same when mounting the wheel. Saves a lot of trouble in scraping the rims and also, protects the discs.

Also, the owner's manual states to use the "chassis adjustment to use jack" setting under "Additional Chassis settings" prior to jacking up the car.
