Can't you just set a car timer with Ovo?

You can with IO... you just lose out on the extra cheap hours.

No, Ovo just does smart charge, there is not an additional cheap period overnight.

same issue here. Just got home 10% battery, need full charge for tomorrow. . Doh!

This is the worse system I have ever come across, specially this rubbish coming from Porsche is disgusting, with other companies usually if there is planned work you would get an email to notify you, completely broken system absolute rubbish. Hope they get it together specially for smart charge users like Ovo etc as we depend on it working in order to get the cheaper rates.

I don’t think that intelligent/smart charging is currently viable in the Taycan unless you are happy to pay full price electricity fairly frequently. At least with Octopus you can fall back to cheap overnight electricity when smart charging fails. To my mind OI is currently the best option. We just charge 2 cars and our house batteries every night in the 6 hour cheap period.

You’re probably right. Ovo had been working pretty well, but last month has been a bit or a mess.

I don’t think it is Ovo’s fault. The Porsche IT has been so unreliable lately I am surprised the electricity companies agree to work with them. Even my wife’s Land Rover internet connection works better!

Yes. I am extremely justified for blaming Ovo for quite a few things, but as you say, this is very much a porsche issue.

One reason I switched my OI integration from the Taycan to my Zappi charger. Much more reliable and I also get far longer ‘mapped’ hours when I plug in it seems. 2pm to 4:30pm and 8:30pm to 8am today!

I guess switching to the charger also means you don't need to renew porsche connect services when the time comes too.
