I think one thing to bear in mind for those particularly concerned about depreciation for their current cars. In 4 years or so we will presumably see a new Taycan with significantly more profound changes. This will mean that the refreshed models will also be perceived by many as 'obsolete'. Probably to a far more significant degree than V1 Taycan vs. refresh.

Who knows what the next model will have in terms of battery tech, weight etc?

So I think that the comment that it costs money to be a relatively early adopter is very true. But hey, we still get to drive our fantastic performing, beautiful cars. And presumably we all felt we could live with the range and specs when we bought them.

I only just purchased my car 2 weeks ago - a late 22 model with 3,800 miles. I'm sure it's going to depreciate pretty hard and that's not a pleasant prospect. But I'm really excited to see what the next generation Taycan will offer and I may well be wanting to buy again at that point. Also, I'm really enjoying it! :)

It can be difficult to predict. For example, if someone walks into Porsche Centre Dublin tomorrow wanting to order a new Turbo S with zero options, they are going to have to find €40,000 more to pay for it.

That's not a small increase – and might push people towards existing cars – if they want a specific model.
There seems to be a lot of disparity in the increases between regions- UK and US seem to be around 6% (my Turbo CT config equivalent has gone up just over 5% from the MY24 price). Whatever the increase is, there's perhaps potential for it to be offset by dropping down 1 level in the range without losing much performance from the "Taycan 1" version?
But regardless, the most off-putting cost of going from Taycan to Taycan II is likely to be the trade-in value.

Nice step up for Hankook to get 21" NF0 tyres approved. When I was at the Taycan factory it was all the 19" wheels that were getting Hankook.

Nice to see more tyre options for Taycan coming to the market.

Interesting those are 245/40 R21 where the current 21" tyres are 265/35 R21. Can't find them as NFO stock in the UK yet though...

New Turbo has more power and speed than the outgoing TurboS and with more range. I think I’ll be ordering one with PAR.

Shame about the illuminated PORSCHE logo, really hope this can be optioned out or turned off, not everyone wants to shout about what they are driving.

Hoping the 22kw charge option comes along soon, seems odd it’s not available.

I would happily wait 50 years for the technology to become just right, but at that time I might not care so much about it.

Be interesting to see what the rears are... And whether this contributes to the "drive train efficiency

just mirrored my GTS to the new Turbo S and added new features: adaptive ride, soft close, etc, it landed at €255k DE price, not NL price difference of VAT plus 2 %.
and god it's UGLY with the new sports design package, especially the rear bumper design.

the pepita seats are just nice...... am glad that I didn't deliberately wait for this refresh.
....
Agree that rear is not an improvement. Nor the front.

Not really a fan of those seat fabrics either.

And whilst I love a bit of glitz (witness the puddle light thread), that red Porsche script is not for me.

Did I totally miss the horsepower and torque for the other models? Turbo S is now 938 hp - to compete with the model S Plaid - can someone list the upgraded hp of the other models? Curious… Thanks!

I do quite like those bronzey coloured wheels on the white car.

Great to see that they have approved a tyre from Hankook and in 21 inch.

one of the videos highlighted that just the new tyre and aeo Wheel design had increased the range by 40 km! That seems too good to be through. We knew the 21 inch tyres would be inefficient but this large an increase?

Intesting is also that the 21 inch dimensions fron thave reduced from 265 to 245/40?? Will also help efficiency with narrow tyre!

Happy to see they removed the launch control reduction on the RWD. On the new Taycan full power is available all the time.
It would be nice to get that as a software update on the pre-2024 models.

few thoughts here:

1) it is nice they've included some of the features in the standard equipment list.
2) the whole thing got even more expensive and, honestly, as a person with no family, I am contemplating my next daily to be a 911 lol, same money.
3) the looks of the new one are yet to be validated in real life, will wait for the first cars to arrive.
4) there is now a visible difference in the DRLs between the base and Matrix lights (e.g. light strips vs dots), which was not there for the previous gen.

So far, kinda happy to own a cost-optimized Gen1 from a relatively bug-free 2024 model year. Had an impulsive thought of maybe listing the current one for sale, but ended up thinking it does not make sense whatsoever, still a perfectly good car.
