I think one thing to bear in mind for those particularly concerned about depreciation for their current cars. In 4 years or so we will presumably see a new Taycan with significantly more profound changes. This will mean that the refreshed models will also be perceived by many as 'obsolete'. Probably to a far more significant degree than V1 Taycan vs. refresh.
Who knows what the next model will have in terms of battery tech, weight etc?
So I think that the comment that it costs money to be a relatively early adopter is very true. But hey, we still get to drive our fantastic performing, beautiful cars. And presumably we all felt we could live with the range and specs when we bought them.
I only just purchased my car 2 weeks ago - a late 22 model with 3,800 miles. I'm sure it's going to depreciate pretty hard and that's not a pleasant prospect. But I'm really excited to see what the next generation Taycan will offer and I may well be wanting to buy again at that point. Also, I'm really enjoying it!
