@Marmolata, no, the holder is “dumb” and is purely for convenience. The charger is installed at the rear of the garage (because I had a Tesla before this and the charge port is in the rear), and obv. the port in the Taycan is near the front. So the nozzle in the picture is secured separately towards the front of the garage/car.

If anyone is interested, Amazon is having a 20% off sale of the Autel plug in models with separate plug holster.

Well, Porsche customer service just sent me the exact same suggestion list that's posted earlier in this thread but didn't actually answer my question of whether they'd pay for a non- listed charger. I guess we will have to see when the first acceptance or denial comes through.

I bought a plug in Juice Box, paying $499 + tax from COSTCO. I sent in my recall request for the $600 reimbursement. My son got the hardwired Juice Box version previously and he had no issues.
Where and how do you send in for the $600 reimbursement?

You send a copy of the receipt for your replacement charger, your VIN, proof of ownership ( I sent a copy of my car's title ), your name and address and whether you want a check or a service credit coupon. You email this to [email protected]. The check takes longer to receive.....

So far so good with the Grizzl-e Mini. I have been using it since Friday to charge my car to see how it performs (also to burn it in as issues with electronics tend to show up quickly). Here's what I like so far:
Thank you very much for the recommendation. I have ordered the Grizzl-e Mini and it is scheduled to arrive today. I wanted something similar in size to the one that came with the car and I already have stored in a closet a Tesla Wall Connector EVSE and a ChargePoint HomeFlex I recieved as a warranty replacement. Currently usng 2 Autel units because they have ethernet connections.

I also have a 2022 Mamba Green CT4, so I thought I would join the Grizzl-e Mini club as well......

Like @daveo4EV, I'm leaning towards the Tesla Universal Connector. I Have the Gen 2 Wall Connector now and it's been flawless and looks sleek. Once my wife gets an EV, it will almost certainly have NACS built in (I'm advising her to wait until NACS models come out) so having a universal charger will allow us both to charge without a separate adapter, so that's convenient.

Obviously, I currently have to use an adapter to charge with my Gen 2 Wall Connector, for which I use the TeslaTap Mini. I'll keep that in the frunk since it can still come in handy for charging at Destination Chargers on road trips and such.

NACS is the future, so I think it makes more sense to get a charger that natively supports it. It's basically guaranteed that all of our next EVs (including Taycan) will be NACS, unless you are upgrading/buying in the next year or so.

I'm just gonna wait until the first confirmation that Porsche reimburses the Universal Wall Connector. Dave maybe that can come from you? :) I assume they will send you the max $600 despite the total cost after tax being more than that.
