@featherless I tried connecting to my OBDLink CX this morning and it didn’t work. If I connect to Scanner app first and disconnected then tried to connect through Sidecar, there was an error (screenshot).
If I plugged in the scanner while sidecar was open, it just seemed to hang “checking capabilities“ (other screenshot).

I’m using Porsche app as well, so i guess, i’m on Porsche account, right?

edit: i checked in settings, there’s Porsche account with my porsche ID.

I'm uploading v1.4.0-87 which includes a couple improvements to the BTLE-connectivity stack, specifically improving reconnection attempts. I'm getting around 90% successful connection attempts with this latest build, up from ~70%. Still one more edge case I'm trying to hunt down, goal is 100% connectivity without having to restart the app.

I'll test my OBDLink CX again to see if I'm missing an edge case with that hardware.

New build should be available in ~10 minutes.

v1.4.0-87 is now out. This is another iteration of the OBD alpha testing pool.

If you had previously installed v1.4.0-86, this release will forcefully terminate your widgets the first time it is installed in order to perform a data migration. Your widgets should restart again after either a reboot of your phone or after a couple of hours.

Updates include:

- Improved bluetooth connectivity stability.
- Updated list of supported OBD scanners.
- Added a new "Vehicle parameters" page to the vehicle page. This allows you to look at parameters for a car even without a scanner device connected. This page also shows details about parameters including the commands used to execute them and the parameter's scaling formula. You can also search for parameters on this page.
- Scanner parameter commands that fail now show their errors.
- Performance improvements with error handling.
- Unknown vehicles can now scan standard OBD parameters.

For the "Checking capabilities..." bug this is still a known bug in the latest release and the one I'm working on addressing today. For now the fix is to kill the app and restart it.

I juat installed -88 and Optional is no longer on the screen.

Happy to confirm that Live Activities now work without a server in these recent builds This does require that Trip Logging be enabled though so I'll update the onboarding UI for Live Activities to indicate that.

I feel you… i’m still without fully functional charging both ports
Today, they found out that “inverter” failed (cost: 10k€) but they don’t know when they will get spare part(s) at all.
So, i can charge only on one AC port…till further notice
good news: i put summer tires back on…and car looks much better
