I think the last time I tried a 100% charge I saw 350 km total range. But I have never been able to get that in real driving.

During summer when in the alps and getting a bit of regen – comfortably make it to 380km and often 400km.

All on the factory 21" Pirelli PZero NF0's.

I also checked on my consumption from a file I earlier downloaded from the My Porsche website.

My total average consumption is calculated at 22.9 kWh/100km over 63500 km’s.
The trips to Calais and return I also looked up from last summer and the consumption varies from about 23.8 to 28.9 kWh/100 km. The higher figure with the higher average speed. German autobahn driving has resulted in even higher consumption, but has also been very erratic.

So I feel that my reported range is quite correct.
SoH stated as nearly 90% which would be usable 75-76 kWh.

If I push my Taycan over 150kph I have to stop every 200km which is annoying if charging stations are not on the highway, sometimes I have to go out few km's which adds to the charging time. A 1000km trip means 2 hours extra time and 4-5 stops. Not nice situation if its heavy rain like it happed to me last week.

indeed, it's all a matter of infrastructure.
I recently did more than 1000kms with 4 stops.
fist two stops were mandatory: 20mn each and we just had time for a coffee/toilet or sandwich/toilet. Car was already charged when back. I would have need the same time with an ICE. Last 2 for 15mn each: I could have avoided them if I had an ICE. So the real difference was 30mn on a 1000km trip.
The 2 stops at Fastned : more than 60kWh in less than 20mn. They are far better than IONITY (for some reason)

Alpitronic seem to be better/more reliable than the ABB units IONITY mostly use. Even Porsche (in their charging lounges) and IONITY are starting to move to them.

As for poor 'ol Tritium – not sure if they will be around to support their units on the IONITY network – of which there are still many.

Sorry to see you leave, @McgR - I've really enjoyd your trip reports as well as your other postings on this forum.

Fully understand that you need a break from Taycan, and that the Panamera would probably better meet your needs at the moment. I never drove the Pana but can understand that it gets praise due to its many virtues.

In many ways, Norway is probably one of the easiest countries for living with an EV. Low speed limits on the motorways (max is 110 km/h), hilly terrain that makes good use of regen, winding roads with little traffic so you can push the car if wanted, and not least - plenty of reliable high-power chargers at destinations and along the roads. Winters can be challenging but all the charging networks still make it fairly efficient to travel with a car like the Taycan.

I think reliable charging infrastructure + a fast charging EV is one of the keys to a relaxing ownership experience. Especially the first factor. Without it, I would probably have stayed with ICE cars just to avoid the stress.

@McgR If you're still around, just out of curiosity. As I'm looking into buying a Taycan ST towards the end of this year I'm keeping an eye on the market. It seems that the Belgian dealers are (for now) committed to crazy prices compared to Germany (where you can get a GTS for the price of a RWD here...) so I'm looking into maybe importing one. Did you go through the proces yourself? (private or company purchase? the proces is different because of VAT) or did you use an import service?

I used LEECO car import in Hechtel Eksel. Very good and professional. Didn’t want to go to the proces my self. I think they only work with official dealers.
They purchased the car and sold it back to me. KBC only wanted to do a renting on a car from a Belgian car dealer. It is a KBC renting for my company.
VAT is 19% in G and 21% in B. You have to add that 2% to the price if you have to pay VAT.
Warranty is no problem that can be done at your local dealer. Exentending warranty is the same procedure as for a new car bought in Belgium.
I think the import proces is not too difficult. Dealer plates, go to customs and DIV. If you buy directly from a Porsche dealer I think you will be safe.

When a was shopping around for the Panamera I saw one at Porsche Brussels. They asked 140 k it was 1 year old. I saw the one I finally purchased in Germany for 125 k. It was only 5 months old and had much more options (18w seats, deviated stitching, black head lights, isolated glass, innodrive, carbon inlays, 4 zone AC, chrono design clock and more). I asked Brussels to go down in price. They made a ridiculous offer for one year free warranty. It is still for sale now and they ask 115 k. Still happy with mine. I would start looking around and make a list of the ones you like. Make an offer if it is still for sale after a couple of weeks and wait again if they don’t want to sell.

In Knokke they have a beautiful PTS with a ton of options (100% the config I would make when buying new). Asking 120k. I think it's at least 25k too expensive. That price is wayyyy too close to a new one if you ask me. The new one is probably cheaper in renting as well.
I'll probably make a few aggressive offers. Time is on my side anyway, I don't need to buy in the coming weeks.
PTS seems to be commanding absurd premiums as well. Their CPO pricing seems to be: base price minus a percentage and adding in the options at full price again. That's not how it works.. I know PTS is an expensive option but doesn't all that much to the real value.. IMHO.

I contact the dealer. It was the car of one of the sales guys not a loaner. They can choose an new one every 6 months. Didn’t want a loaner that would be driven like it was stolen

They sent me many pictures. Didn’t go there my self but Leeco did the check up. They were positive the car would be fine, German Porsche dealers have strict rules.

The warranty is automatic but I went to Porsche Latem to put the car VIN in my file and register them as my service point. Porsche connect needed to be registered in my name to be able to see the car in the app and use the service. This needs to be done by a local dealer. They asked 500 euro. Ridiculous I think it only took them a minute online. Just wanted the service to be active and didn’t feel like discussing the price.

For the price of a second hand car. Just make and offer and wait for a couple of weeks.

I would try to find out what the origine of the car is and look at the service manual. You don’t want to buy a 6 months old car the was returned because the previous owner couldn’t live with all the issues anymore.
