For me it’s an emotional decision, not an investment decision. Vehicles in general are never a good investment unless you fully utilize it for business. I am not in that camp. I’m in the emotional camp so I weigh the joy I get looking at and driving my Taycan against any inconvenience/costs I anticipate I will endure.
I’ve had my 2021 Taycan CPO for less than a year and so far it has been very smooth sailing. I hope my experience stays the same for the next 5.5 years when my warranties expire…
So you do not say that (according to your experience), the reliability of the Taycan is terrible in general...

No, my experience has been excellent with my dealer who has handled several recalls quickly and efficiently as well as several minor maintenance issues. The only issue I had over the last 8 months which was a bit annoying was the cameras working intermittently. But my dealer figured out what was wrong, ordered the parts and replaced them within 2 weeks while I was given a Macan loaner.
My dealer is 1/2 mile from my home so I can walk to the dealership.
My CPO was a brass hat car driven by one of the executives at the dealership so I felt he would have made sure Porsche took care of everything even before it was offered as a CPO.
I love my dealership from the sales team, the service staff as well as the overall management. I can’t wait to get my next Porsche but when I do I will not get rid of my Taycan. It is the most enjoyable sports sedan I’ve ever owned but it doesn’t hurt she looks like a super model, exciting me every time I open the garage door…
I don’t regret my purchase in any way…

By the way…
I believe the second most beautiful EV 4 door sports sedan is the Audi eTron but I’m sure the eTron’s suffered the same initial quality issues as the Taycan which I’m hoping have stabilized at this point. I don’t hear too many people complaining about the reliability of the 2022, 23 &
24 models. They all are in love with their Taycan’s. Maybe a bit of a blind love which allows you to turn a blind eye to certain misgivings…

Agree and congrats.
I just provoked out that, not all the cars are lemons.
If we cry out the full internet how bad the reliability of Taycan we are the ones who depreciate our own cars most.
Should talk about the car a lot more positive.

It’s not unusual to avoid new products which are untested. My 2000 Boxster was the same when it was introduced in 1997. By the time I got my 2000 they got all the bugs out and I had a bulletproof reliable car for 21 years before I got T-boned by a drunk driver.
I probably should have waited to buy a 2022 CPO or 2023 CPO but we fell in love with the coffee beige color and then drove it and were hooked!
We weren’t going to leave the dealership without her. Hopefully she doesn’t turn out to be a high maintenance supermodel… If she does I will still try to focus on my love for her lines…

And you still bought another one that brakes down, will be in the service all the time, will finish its life time dead in your garage and will loose most money on depreciation in the car industry.
Simply can't get it.
Well hopefully it’s going to be better than the last one. Since it’s been 4years you certainly think they make better batteries and electronics in general. Like I said we still love the car, it’s always so nice to drive it. And past couple of years we’ve had it it’s been in service a handful of times compare to the first couple of years. But the topic was about reliability- so I wrote about our experience with the first Taycan we have had. We have another Porsches. One is currently is in service also and also for electronics (PCM) and it’s been delivered only three months ago… we still love it and my husband was buying Porsche for many years… I think it’s not a secret for a lot of people that their electronics is behind compare to other brands but it’s an amazing cars to drive and are good looking also.
