I got mine fitted (from BlackCircles) at a local ATS- they mentioned that my local Porsche centre uses them. I don't know what proportion of the Porsche centre's tyre jobs that accounted for, but I do know that they are located within a half mile of each other.
To be fair, the Porsche centre does a lovely complimentary clean every time my car is with them?

Winters? Summers are easy and most kep tin stock in the UK but Winters are a real pain to get in now and it wasn't like this before. If you know a site that gets around that fantastic and please share. Cheers
Typical places I use are Blackcircles, Oponeo and Micheldever.

Though I haven't bought Porsche sized winter tyres as yet.

I did look into Michelin Alpin 5s and may at some point do so more seriously...they weren't common, but tbh I put that more down to winter tyres, especially high end, not being that common a purchase as South of Scotland they aren't really a "must have" buy.

I have never have had an issue buying winter tyres for our Volvo XC90, pre or post Brexit.

(I'm not even sure why they should be tbh. It's not like they're food or medicine ?).

That complimentary clean costs you £100 a tyre....

£400 a clean and I'd be wanting a hand job....

Interesting, I’ve used all of those and they used to arrive in 24-48 hours. Now they go into a customs clearance process on arrival in the UK that has taken 7–12 working days any time I’ve tried for all our cars since c.2020. My wife’s old ID3 was parked up for 2 weeks when she had a flat on her Winters waiting for the replacement to come.

The same applies to random stuff like rugby jerseys bought from Ireland, all have to pass customs now..

it could be that more standard size Winters are in stock in the UK but when I had a flat on the Taycan Porsche West London said that they (Porsche Retail Group I guess) kept a stock of N rated Winters in all the sizes they sell with wheels in the UK so they could replace mine a day or two later once it was ordered in.

I've not had to change tyres on my Taycan yet but I used Kwikfit mobile fitting on my Panamera - and the guy swapped my existing rears to new rims at the same time as fitting new fronts (I slipped him a few quid for his trouble).

Just bought 2 x 285/40R20 Pirelli P7s NFO through Asda Tyres, I found two coupons which knocked another £30 off so £585 in total and had them fitted at Just Tyres, who did a great job and use black weights. Just make sure the fitter has a modern machine and does not still use tyre levers to pull the old tyre over the rim!

Never had an issue ordering anything before or after.

Could be what I'm ordering was all in stock in the UK, but in some circumstances I categorically know that wasn't the case as it (WiFi6 kit) came direct from an EU warehouse.

I imagine much will depend on who ships it and through which ports. A side example.... My GP is amazing. Can always get appointments. My parents' GP is hopeless. Not Brexit. People.

As noted, I could have had N rated new tyres for the Taycan within 2 days via Blackcircles....I actively chose a different tyre. And I actively choose never to use main dealers as I cannot abide companies spanking the backside on pricing on commodity items (tyres. Oil's another. Screenwash another etc etc.).

As I now need a new set of 20" fronts due to inner front tyre edge wear (see other string) do I need, and have you always obtained, tyres with the NFO Porsche approval mark? My local tyre shop is just offering straight Michelin Sport 4S which they say should be fine.

I don't believe Porsche deny warranties any more if NF0 aren't used (which is how it should always have been). I don't have this in writing though.

As long as the sizes, load and speed ratings are correct I have no issues using non-NF0. I'm cynically of the view that the biggest driver on these ratings is commercial. On every other car I've owned, non-OEM brand/type tyres have always given better results.

I'm a fan of Michelin, but be careful on the type. I think the model of choice with their series four was PS4 (Pilot Sport 4), not 4S.

I also think they're on fifth gen now...and confusingly 5S might be the choice in that!

Either way, I'm having good results from Hankook ion Evo...and they're also usefully cheaper.

Many thanks. As I'm just changing the fronts, I think I'll stick with Michelin this time

Tyre fun for me now.

Need to replace my rears, and nowhere has Hankook Ion Evos.

Joy.

Looking like I'll need to pay around £100 a tyre more for tyres that aren't as good (car had Goodyears when I bought it... Always been a Michelin PS4S fan on other cars. Will see what I can get ?).

I'm now looking for new rear tyres for my Taycan CT 4S and I see that Black Circles have Hankook Ion Evo Sound Absorber 285/40/R20. Is this different to the ones you have used and were these not available last month? Price is attractive but can Porsche resist any warranty claims for fitment on non- NFO tyres?
