Electric Charging Port Door - Intermittent Fault

I am new to the brand and have had my Taycan for 2 months.
Periodically when I swipe under the fin to open the passenger side charging port it will only open half way. Swipe again and it closes and immediately opens half way again. Leave the car for a while and go back and swipe under the fin and the door closes. Swipe again and it fully opens.
Anyone else had this issue.
car in at Porsche today to diagnose the problem. Typically the port opened perfectly this morning.

Not had the issue but suspect it's a duff sensor or requires reprogramming.

I had this issue on day four. The left door would Jam and disable both doors. The dealer ended up replacing the left door motor assembly.

Agreed this should not be happening on a brand new car.
Still waiting on the Porsche Centre getting back to me to let me know what the problem is.

My off side port door is still working OK but will only open from the internal switch. The nearside will open by swiping as normal but the off side function has stopped. I though it was the frost/snow and cold weather, but both doors open and close as they should. Luckily it goes in for the brake hose recall tomorrow, so one to add to the list!

Some functions should be kept simple. I have no problem opening my charger door with my finger. A push versus an electronic swipe.

I had this on the long term tester i had before buying....

You just need to lock the car and take the key out of range for an hour and it'll fix itself.... Well that one did anyway!

My manual ports used to freeze open if the car had been charging and it went below about - 5c.

Dealer wouldn't fix it, as it was never faulty when I took it in......as it wasn't freezing then. ?

I left the car at the railway station yesterday as I was in London all day and had the key with me, and tried in the evening to open the port door unsuccessfully again. Still worked from the internal control. I'll pass it to the dealer.....!

I've had this issue since getting my car back in August. It's probably happened about 6 times total. In my case it manifests when I unplug after charging overnight, and the door closes half-way and then stops. The door can't be opened again for about 30s unless I turn the car on and off again, but in any case the problem doesn't fix itself - after waiting 30s and triggering the door again it will open fully, then close halfway and stop. On the dash the car shows the "Charging door impaired" message. The last two times it's reported "Left charging door impaired", but it's the right door stuck part way open. It could well be a sensor on the closed door though, since the system is trying not to let both doors be opened together.

The first time this happened I stopped by the dealer and they reset the door's limits. When it happened again I did some searching and found a YouTube video (I think it was one of Tactical Expedition's) showing that if you block the door from closing when it starts to come down, it will retract and then slowly close all the way. After that it works normally again until the next time.

There's obviously something wrong with it, and it's probably a sensor. I'll have it in to the dealer for fixing soon.

My car has been in twice for this intermittent fault. I took a couple of videos to show what was happening. They altered the end stop and that reversed the problem. Door would open but only close half way.
I need this fixed so I can have faith that it will open and close as it should do as in January I’m undertaking a 1,000 mile trip to Switzerland and don’t want to be faffing about waiting on the door to decide to open/close when I stop for fast charging.
So the car is going into the dealer on Monday as they now admit there have been other cars with this problem and they are replacing parts. Not sure yet what parts but hopefully that will sort the problem.
