ARB6 Recall notice UK....

Hi,
Anybody else received the ARB6 recall notice in the UK yet? Just received mine whilst in a long and drawn out conflict with the dealership who have had my Taycan for over 6 months. This recall is laughable and with the advent of the class action happening over in the US Im wondering how long before it comes to the UK. The final nail in the coffin is highlighted on page 2.
"Additionally, until the inspection has been completed, we would advise not to charge the vehicle under cover and or to ensure the vehicle is not parked adjacent to or under buildings ".
Even if I wanted the car back it invalidates my insurance first off but now it makes it seem down right dangerous...

Thoughts?

Yes. I'll just get my 100 metre charging cable out so i can plug in away from my house. Maybe porsche will supply us some extension leads?

I've also had the same. MY 22. Car is currently already in dealership for last 2 weeks as it won't AC charge and they can't give timeline of when it will be fixed and didn't have any courtesy cars either.
Incredibly poor service and reliability and I may have a car that, if fixed, I can't charge at home 'next to a building '...WTF!!

Is there a way of checking if your vehicle VIN is affected as I didn’t get the last recall letter for the brake pipes

This was my issue with Taycan ownership.....
Things can go wrong, we all know that.

But it's how they are dealt with when they do that matters.

And my (first and last) experience with Porsche was paying a premium price for a REALLY substandard service.

The word 'mug' alaays used to spring to mind.

Interesting that when you eventually got it booked in - they never have any loaners at UK dealers, even though the pound is full of used Taycans that they can't sell.

My own personal opinion is the brand is living somewhat on their previous glory and reputation.

Ask your dealer.

There are VIN checkers but the UK one may not be all that.

That's not my experience so I don't think you can generalise "UK dealers".

Nor mine to be fair last 2 recalls I had 2 different facelift Taycans.

Why not just let Porsche monitor your car's health OTA? Your car may not need any repair/recall and save you a trip to the dealership.

I have received a recall letter but the recall VIN checker states there are no open recalls... Clearly not accurate in the slightest.

ARB5 letter received at the beginning of last month. Scotland.

My car (MY2023 4S) recently went in for recall work. In all 5 different campaigns were actioned:

WPK0

ARB6 - not sure if this means I can ignore the letter as they didn’t identify any cell faults or at least make me aware of any.

WPL8
ARB0

Car went in on a Monday and the work was completed by Friday midday.

I was given a ST GTS as a courtesy car. (Which was on Goodyear 21’s and the ride was excellent. I think better than my 4S on Pirelli 20’s)

Couldn’t fault the dealer service.

They even let me use the Porsche high speed charger to top the ST right up, free of charge before I left as I had a 120mile round trip to do.

My thoughts on the recall works: it’s a bit of pain, but if it means my car is constantly improving (the breaks feel great now) I am not overly concerned. I also take the point some of this stuff probably shouldn’t happen in the first place and they should have better OTA updates to address specific issues.

And yes the ARB6 letter is so poorly worded. It’s almost like it was written in German and someone just uses google to translate it.
