£20,000 off a brand new Turbo GT!

One of several examples. Is this normal end of year discounting or Porsche struggling to meet the 22% EV quota?

In percentage terms that's quite modest- 10% v the 25+% that some other Taycans are (not?) going at.
There are more GTs sitting unsold at dealerships than are currently listed, if my local centre is representative.

I am not understanding why a dealer would get a GT as a lot car. Are there GT buyers that want a lot car that someone else configured regardless of the discount? I understand if Porsche would get one as a demo to tour it around to get more orders for Taycans in general, but that would be the only way to make any sense to have one around unsold. My dealer only would stock a RWD and a 4S and that is about the max, the rest is custom order. I understood the allocations would be limited.

I’m led to believe dealerships in the UK need to order a minimum number of cars from the factory annually whether there is a buyer for them or not in order to meet their franchise quota obligations?

In the US the dealers get allocation and are sent factory spec taycans, then they can start speccing their own allocation.
I assume this is the situation with UK as well

These discounted Taycans are shifting. I've spoken with 3 separate OPC's. My local have sold 7 in a week, another put 3 up on limited time offer and sold them all, then the OPC I'm using sold their discounted ones immediately and are just honouring my price having already shifted the cars they needed to sell.

£15k fine / car not sold below the 22%.

My discount was just shy of 30%.

That is an unheard level of discount here in France I believe.

I'm guessing that some of the stock are cancelled orders, prompted perhaps by finance or trade-in values being unpalatable (so not necessarily a Taycan or even EV-specific issue?).

I've been told some are indeed cancelled orders.

My car has been built a while, not that that bothers me. Can't believe I've got a brand new Taycan ?

Was that on new unregistered car? What was the full list price

That is great, well done. I only managed 28%/ £36k on a pre-reg
You still did brilliantly. I just got lucky. My car has been ceramic coated by the dealer, so knocking that off the invoice, i achieved 30% off list.

Yep very happy with mine. I wanted the HUD again and I was looking for Volcano Grey this time so that really limited the choice, sad to part with my 4S CT as it had been faultless apart from the recalls
