Yesterday I noticed the app was misreporting charge %, went for a drive, not updated for a week or so.

LTE symbol has a line through and says no data is available on various in car apps.

I've tried reinstalling app on iPhone and Android, I've tried PCM reboot, tried fuses (although there are a few for the wireless module and not totally clear which ones are the right ones) and tried 12v battery disconnect for 30 minutes - no change. Also tried charging in both charge ports (direct charge in car) which worked but no change to LTE data.

I thought I'd call Porsche Connect customer services, both lines are dead?

Is there an outage others are experiencing (someone reported similar issues on fb)? Worth noting my car says Vodafone signal 3 bars and normally is fine in my area, and I have a valid subscription.

I can't send any app commands to vehicle and overnight charging with Octopus failed.

Mine's been fine.

Could be local cell signal issue (or worst case failing LTE comms module). If its been like this for a week then I fear the latter given the symbol you're seeing. 12V battery disconnect for a hard reset might be in order before looking at hardware replacement.

Well I only noticed yesterday in truth, not driven car for a week. I've tried all the reported steps for the comms module before the car going in to be looked at (awaiting local dealership to call back), but I've not got a warranty so suspect this will be expensive. Just trying to see if there's some kind of outage atm, as some people have said they have a similar issue (one or two).

The only advise I can offer you is get an extended warranty. Don’t question it, just do it.

You have done everything an owner can do to potentially reset things to get data comm link back.
Remaining possibilities: Porsche back-end problem affecting others as well, Porsche back-end problem affecting only your PorscheID, local network issue, car software/hardware needs dealer reset, car hardware needs replacement.

(I assume you have checked to see that privacy mode is disabled in your car.)

If it were me, I'd just wait a week. If you read forum posts for years about this problem, often service just comes back on its own. Waiting a week or so avoids misdiagnosis by dealer and costs.
Calling Porsche customer service might help them check things. Do not follow their advice to reset PCM to factory settings, which will delete your PorscheID from car and which you cannot re-enter until data com is restored.

I had this no LTE problem as a recurrent issue with my 2020 Tacan Turbo. I had to take it to the dealer as the car would revert to a transport mode. The fix was simple but it took a long time for a diagnosis and the reason for the intermittent problem was not resolved.

I shall do, however, £1600 with the first 111 point check, and I've just spent £1k to re-insure... sigh

Yup, thought as much, we'll see! I'm wondering if other UK people are having issues but assuming it is fine over your side of the pond.

Update - disconnected 12v for 45 minutes instead of 30, and it fixed the LTE issue!

@nrps1 In post 1, when you pulled fuses, how long did you leave them pulled?
I struggled with that part, as the manual shows multiple fuses in different footwells for the wireless module, and the positional numbers seem to be reversed in reality to the manual. I tried to work out from what my car has and couldn't ascertain the direction 1-12, so I pulled a couple fuses for a few minutes that seemed to make no difference. Gave up on that approach!

It is interesting that in this case it took a 45-minute disconnection of power to restore LTE service, when earlier disconnection of fuses for short periods and a 30-minute battery disconnection did not.

Anybody else ( @whitex ) have any ideas as to why 45 minutes worked and shorter disconnections didn't?

Yeah, I just had a feeling I needed a bit longer, a hunch! Perhaps my wireless module battery needed slightly longer to discharge?
