Tonight, I went to put something in the trunk of my CT. I opened the trunk with the remote (it was raining, so opened it before I got to the car). As I leaned in to put something in the trunk, I heard "beep, beep" and the trunk started closing, stopping only after it hit me. My first reaction was "oh, I must have pressed the fob in my pocket", but then I remembered, there is no way to close the trunk via fob, is there? If not the fob, what else could it be? I am certain I did not press either of the two buttons on the hatch, and there was nobody in the car to touch the screens.

Your foot. Comfort access includes a sensor on the bottom of the car where on “normal” cars the tow bar is located. Making a kick movement triggers the sensor.
I knew this sensor opened the trunk, I never knew it could close it. Will try it out tomorrow.

I have mistakenly done the same thing 3 or 4 times….including the bump on the noggin.

It’s funny because I gave up trying to use that feature as it is so hard to get it to activate. I have never accidentally activated it and it would really take me by surprise if I did.

This happened to me several times.
It's calibrated too sensitive to my gusto (or my feet are too big).
I switched it off in PCM.

It really is about getting the gesture right. Don’t swipe your foot, just make a small kick in the middle, and step backwards. I never have to do it twice. Had it in my Audi before and there I had to “kick” twice sometimes.

Audi has a lot of tutorial videos of the gesture on YouTube, maybe it helps. This feature seems like something minor bit really is a major one, use it all the time.
