wow, thanks for all the replies. I'm happy to report that I will be a new Taycan GTS owner soon :) I was just having cold feet prior to the switch as I still love my Macan GTS currently. Yes, it's an ICE.
Expect to love the Taycan much more.

I have a Taycan GTS (with RAS and PDCC) and it’s an absolute joy to drive. I’ve had a couple of Macan GTS loaners, which I haven’t got on with - yes it’s a lovely car, but I immediately missed the instant torque, serenity but insanity speed all combined. I initially thought the Macan was super slow, until I remembered it’s was a turbo ICE (like my old RS6!) and if I revved the nuts off it, then yes it really would shift, but then I also felt like a hooligan and couldn’t really enjoy it, unless out on quiet roads. The Taycan however is just so much fun all the time and also so relaxing if you want it to be.
Totally agree with all of this. So much so that I’m swapping our Macan GTS for a Macan EV 4s so we will be totally EV from now on. Have got a little Clio RS172 as a project car for fun

I have explored Macan EV at depth and decided to pass (a day spent with each RWD, 4, and 4S). I would not confuse the OP on this topic as Macan EV is not very good, where Macan GTS is great with ZERO shared of anything with Macan EV, and Taycan is hands down the best. My dealer guys said, it is a travesty to call the EV the Macan and I agree after driving it.

I am happy to expand on the topic, but you can head on to the sister forum and indulge yourself into never ending problems, which is not uncommon for a 2 years too late and then rushed release of a complex vehicle. I did imagine my wife kicking and screaming about Macan EV problems if she would get it, and that was enough to clear my mind of thinking of considering it.
